Nice game for a weekend off. This game is fun for the whole family. It has different levels to get through and tests your hand eye coordination. My 14 year old son and I have a lot of fun taking turns playing and seeing who is better at the game. 12/24/2011

Good, not great As one might expect, Gunstringer is a bang-em, shoot-em up game. The thing w/ this is that it uses the Kinect & not a traditional controller. I've had it for almost a week as I write this, & have gone thru a couple missions.The Good: interesting use of, well, you, as the controller. Your left hand moves the guy & your right hand actuates your weapon (you literally move your hand in a gun-recoil fashion). You can also play this seated, so you don't have to be standing the whole time. Clever display of the story - you are the puppetier (sp?) in a stage show w/ live people in the audience as you go thru the adventure. There's a voice-over commentator talking the whole time & his comments relate to what/how you're currently doing. Very unique.The Bad: fairly one-dimensional in the play. Though scenes & enemies change, the game is basically the same thing over & over. You are either running & shooting stuff, running & jumping over stuff, or hiding behind something & jumping out to shoot stuff. I personally like more diversity in my games in terms of varying things to do. The hook w/ this is obviously the Kinect portion, but the novelty gets a bit thin after a few missions & left me wanting a bit more. Maybe my Kinect isn't set up in the best way (on top of wall-mounted TV), but I have some issue w/ getting the system to register my firing action consistently.Summary: good, not great. If I could go back in time & do it over knowing what I do now, I would not pay top dollar for it. Wait for it to go to the bargain bin ($20 seems to be the magic number for older game titles), only then would it be worth the investment. 12/30/2011
