Rated 5 out of 5 by mommy2twocuties Love this trainset This set was an incredible bargain at the $140 price I paid for it last year. I bought it for my 3yo son for Christmas and he still loves the set. I did a lot of research on trainsets and found that most of the sets I liked were much more expensive and had fewer pieces and did not include the table. If you price the table separately in many cases the table alone (with no trains!) will cost as much as this set. The only complaint I have about this set is that the some of the accessories (like the gas station and the crane) don't really stay together very well. They are meant to be easy to assemble/disassemble, which is great, but with little ones, they will disassemble them then drag the pieces around the house and you never find them....then you don't have a working crane. However, the kids don't seem to care. My 5 yo daughter also likes to play with this set and we bought her some "girl trains" from the Thomas collection that are just hers. We also have added Thomas trains to the set since it is compatible with the Thomas wooden trains. Our son is really into Thomas, but didn't care or even notice that it isn't a "Thomas" set. I highly recommend to anyone considering a train/table set. 12/07/2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by mileslovescars a great value I bought this table for my grandchildren. Two of them are 3 year old boys. They absolutely love it. One of my grandsons begged his mom to see if he could come play with it while I was at work. It was very easy to put together, I did it by myself in about 45 minutes. It seems very sturdy with no sharp corners or edges. 11/19/2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by esdh88 IMPRESSED I was quite impressed with this train set. This is definitely worth it compared to paying triple the price if you purchased the brand name "Thomas". My grandson is 3-1/2 yrs. old and has a huge collection of Thomas trains and I was especially thrilled that those are compatible with this set. I would have to agree with others who commented on the waterfall mountain.....it's the only plastic piece. I actually glued together some of the wooden scenery pieces (small trees, crane stand, gas station, roofs to the hospital and police and fire stations) since they are pretty much stationary scenery and thus lessens the volume of small pieces. I know my grandson will enjoy many, many hours of playtime with this train set. 11/02/2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by 2ndgrandson Loved It'! I purchased this for my 3 year old grandson and he absolutely loved it. Did not give it to him till after his birthday party was over because I knew he would not go back to his birthday guests if he saw it before. It was very easy to assemble and it was of a good quality. I liked the fact that the table was big but not too big for his age and the height was perfect. Am thinking about using glue to attach the trees, signs and people to the table so that he does not keep knocking them down. He was getting frustrated about this but he absolutely loved it. 10/18/2009
