I bought this bike for my daughter this Christmas. I put it together in an hour. It was easy to assemble, chose not to have it done at WalMart even though it was free. The only problem I had with this bike was that I didn't understand why there was a reflector under the seat that was going to be hardly viable because of the frame fender in the back is raised so high. Other wise I like this bike. Its a 14in which WalMart doesn't carry in the stores that I have looked in. Its all 12s and 16 inch bikes.

I bought this for my soon to be 5 year old granddaughter. It's adorable and she loves it. It's the perfect in between size for her as she grew out of her 12 inch and 16 inch looks huge. I'm glad to find an in between size for grandma's house. The training wheels are decorative and very cool. She loves this bike and it's much more sturdier than the 12 inch too.

My daughter loves her bike. She is an average sized 4 year old who was ready for an upgrade from her trike. We wanted a fourteen inch because we made the mistake of buying our son's first bike too big and it took him way too long to feel comfortable. We did buy the one year protection for $6 because these bikes are made cheaply. Our son's cranks broke after one summer of use. Our daughter's bike arrived in a damaged box that resulted in a very badly scratched pedal. We would have returned it for another one, but we did not discover it until we were assembling it on the eve of her birthday. The only other negative is that the training wheels loosen up easily while she is riding it. My husband is going to buy some washers to see if that helps. Even with those two negative things we would buy this bike again for the size, price and it's cuteness!

    • It really has to do with their age. My son is 3 and fits a 12" just fine.

    • We let our daughter get on many different bikes to see because everybody obviously is built differently. Some kids have longer legs and so on. Thankfully they had this bike in stock at our Wal-Mart so we were able to try it out. It fit her perfect with the seat all the way down which means we have plenty of room as she gets bigger we will just raise the seat to suit her.

    • Make your child stand between the seat and the handlebars. and if they can stand straight up with out hitting the bar they should be OK to ride that bike

    • I don't remember the name of the site, but I did a search on Yahoo and found a site that suggested the 14" for my 4 year old granddaughter. It was a great match. She can ride it easily with the training wheels and it will not be too high when it is time for her to learn to ride without them.

    • We measured our kids inseam to determine how large of a bike to purchase. We ran across a guide online to show us what inseam to gauge for what size bike.

    • As long as they can get on the bike by them self and there feet touch the ground when they sit it should be good

    • It is my understanding that a child's feet should be able to make contact with the ground when sitting on the seat. We took my daughter to a store and tried her on multiple bikes to get a good fit. She just turned 3, but is average height for a 4 yr old, about 42" tall. The 14" size was perfect for her to grow into, she barely touched the floor on the lowest seat setting.
