JumpStart Escape from Adventure Island is the second title in the JumpStart series of adventure-based learning games for the Wii.
This action-packed game invites players to use their explorer skills and brain power to find a way to escape a mysterious island after a crash landing strands them there! As players race to collect the pieces needed to repair their blimp, they’ll need to ward off the pesky fur balls known as Punk Punks and navigate 3D worlds both above and below the water. Along the way, players can practice over 150 math, reading and critical thinking skills-the fun way! Wii Remote technology that allows players to run, jump, fly, swim, roll and dance across a virtual island. The chance for players to express themselves while selecting the perfect avatar outfit, hair, features and more!

Excellent learning and fun game Wasn't sure what to expect from a learning game for the Wii and this turns out to be a fun game and keeps my children (6 and 8) both interested and engaged. From the moment they started playing they were engrossed with the custom character they could create and exploring around the world. The undersea area was particularly interesting to my 8 year old. There is plenty to do for both boy and girl. I would recommend this product to anyone with a 5 to 9 year old. 11/19/2009
not what I was hoping for... I purchased this game with my 4 yr old in mind. She did not know enough "academics" yet to feel confident enough to play the game. My six yr old is too busy playing action type games to be very interested in this game. If this was the only Wii game that we had, my six yr old would enjoy it...he just prefers more action. Basically, the game was too advanced for my 4 yr old....maybe she will like it next year. This game might be good for Kindergartners. 01/05/2010
educational AND fun!!! My kids enjoy the jumpstart.com online 3d world. This wii game is WONDERFUL! Very similar, and you don't have to be a "member" to play all the games (like you do with the online version.) Some aspects of the game are easier with the wii remote, and others are easier with a computer keyboard. EXCELLENT for summer fun! 05/29/2010
Fun for kids My one son is almost 6 and the other is 8. They enjoyed playing this. They received it for Christmas, and so far really seem to enjoy it. 12/28/2009
