Rated 2 out of 5 by brianosaur Doesn't block the sun Seems like a fairly constructed umbrella.Nice wide pipe. Sturdy handle that easily raised the canopy.The color (olive) was very nice.However, the fabric was so wafer thin it barely stopped the sun from shining through.After setting it up and sitting under it for all of 3 minutes my wife and I were both commenting on how we are still both squinting from the bright sunlight.Looking up through the fabric you plainly see the sunburst star effect of the bright sun beaming right through the fabric.I think a T shirt held up over my head would do better.Sorry, perhaps on a cloudy day it would be okay, but I bought this for my pool deck on bright sunny days. Will not do at all.Put it back in the box and its going right back. 06/28/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by mydoggies nice umbrella This umbrella is good. It's average size. The fabric does not have a thick, strong weave. But, It's not paper thin either. For the price, I'm very happy with it. I got the slate blue colored umbrella and it's an attractive color and matches the slate patio chair cushions I've purchased from Walmart in the past. I think this umbrella will hold up for a few years if it is stored during the winter months. 05/28/2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by holt109 Not impressed... ...this umbrella looks good and has the nice tilt feature, but it can not withstand hardly the mildest breeze. I can't trust it past 10mph wind, I'm nervous when I have company over, because you can hear them squeaking as if they're going to pop any second. Where I live, I need something with much more stability. It shouldn't cost no more than $20. 05/22/2012
