Jasper 5 Piece Dining Set, Rustic Oak 11 14
We were downsizing and this set fits better in our dining room than our previous set. We are pleased with the appearance and actually enjoyed assembling it. The problem came when my husband leaned back on one of the chairs and cracked the back rest. He glued and clamped it and now we are the only ones who know it was broken. This is not a sturdy set and we don't feel that we can really "live" on it, however, we are keeping it because it fits our needs. 11/17/2009
Excellent Buy We bought this product for our kitchen. The honey oak matched our kitchen cabinets very well and the four seat and metro table met our needs for daily dining. Please note that the table is relatively small and would not meet large dining room type needs.The table was easy to assemble -- less than a half hour. The chairs were a little more complicated (not difficult) to assemble due to the number of parts. The chairs went together in roughly 90 minutes and were very stable upon completion. One thing to pay attention to is in Step 1 where the "chair box frame" is attached to the "front leg frame". The box frame does not have a designated up or down. I suggest to make sure that the better finished edge go up on all four chairs. Another suggestion is not to tighten the bolts on the front legs (to the box frame) until you set the chair upright and make sure it does not rock -- tighten the bolts while the chair is upright.One sad note, we were short a couple of lock washers which I got out of my hardware cabinet -- rather than taking it back to Wal-Mart.We are very happy with the set, although have used it only a few times. It is nice looking, but very hard to put together - the majority of the holes didn't match up and UPS didn't deliver - and had to try getting this up the stairs by myself. 08/28/2010
Nice table We only needed the table, so we sold the chairs to a friend. The table is a perfect size for our dining area. Nice reddish brown color, looks like a quality piece of furniture. It is sturdy also. Have to be careful not to scratch the top as it's wood, not laminate. Using place mats takes care of this. 09/16/2010
