Love it! When I registered for this I kind of thought it might be a little ridiculous -- who would actually remember to push the button and use this thing?? But I absolutely love it! I mostly just use it for the feeding, and keeping track of which side I'm on. So much easier to look at the time elapsed then try to remember what time you fed last and do the math -- especially in the middle of the night!!As for the battery, I have been using mine for 6 months, every single day and I don't *think* I've even changed them once. Maybe if you use the flashlight feature a lot??**One little tip: I keep the instructions clipped to the back of it. That way I can refer to them to change the time, etc. 06/22/2009
Must buy!! I used this timer around the clock for the first 2 months with my son. It may seem like a waste of money to only use for a few months, but trust me its worth it! It was great to know how long it has been since he had eaten or been changed. Also, keeping track of the side you last nursed on is great. The alarm feature is nice. My son was severely jaundiced and I had to force him to wake up to eat in the middle of the night, so I had the alarm set to 2 hours and it would wake me to wake him. The night light is also great, plently bright enough to use to change a diaper (if you are experienced, I do not know if It would be for a first time mom, I know it was difficult at first with my daughter until I got the hang of it :]) All in all this helps keep your sanity when you are so overly exhausted you can barely remember your name much less how much time has gone by or which side you last nursed on. 10/14/2008
Love, love, love it! A must have for every new mom Someone suggested this when I was registering. I thought, seriously? A timer??? But she said it was a must have and now, after having one I agree! I buy them for anyone I know having a baby now. Not only did it help keep my sanity while on maternity leave, it was a great way to keep the baby on feeding schedule between my house and his sitters. Also great for anyone babysitting. I didn't have to ask when he last ate, because the Itzbeen told me! It also was great in keeping him on schedule with medicines.I always had his feedings set for 3 hours but even as he got older and started adjusting to his own eating schedule, the timer let me know when we were getting close. I can't tell you how many times I would be about to start a project around the house or head out for an errand and I would look to see how much time I had before he'd be ready to eat.My biggest suggestion to new moms when I give them the Itzbeen, take it to the hospital with you! I didn't - not yet realizing how helpful the timer was going to be - and I remember the nurses coming in the room wanting to know when he last ate, when he had his last diaper change, when I last had medicine...I remember being so out of it, staring at the clock, trying to keep the numbers straight! If I'd had my Itzbeen, I could have told them with no problems!I used my Itzbeen religiously for probably the first 6 months. I only noticed the batteries dying quickly when my usage started declining. I realized it was because my alarm was going off (red light beeping, I had the sound off) and I'd leave it going for hours at the time. That drained the batteries. I had no problem with the batteries draining quickly when I was using the timer constantly. 09/24/2010
Awesome product! I did not have the itzbeen with my first child, but I sure wish I had! I absolutely love this thing. I would be lost without it. It is so nice to not have to watch the clock all day and night because the timer does it for you! It is easy to take with me wherever I go. I have given this as a gift and have already been told how much my friend loves it. I highly recommend this product to anyone having a baby!! 02/08/2011
