Ironman 1640 Upright Bike 2 2
Very Impressive The bike arrived a week ahead of its delivery date and the box was pockmarked with holes. I ignored the box and found everything had arrived for assembly. I had to break the bike down after assembly and reset the first plug in the base. One of the pins bent out of the connector and the bike did not work initially. Once corrected the bike has exceeded expectations. I'm 6'8" at 260 lbs and this bike works perfect for me. I discovered when I stop riding to press stop and within 4 minutes the bike shuts itself down. If you continue to play with the screen it never shuts down. Exercise and then walk away and it works as stated. It has plenty of set patterns and can be set for four different users with manual and programable workouts.Nice bike, I'd recommend it to anyone that needs a professional bike at a great price. 12/15/2010
Adequate if not superior Got this thing about a year ago. I've been using the exercise bicycles at the gym for the last 20 years. Obviously this model is much less expensive than the gym models. I was hoping to get comparable performance, unfortunately this model didn't deliver it. I still get a good work out. Just takes more adjusting on my part to keep the workout challenging. My main complaints are the heart-rate monitor is just not accurate. I'd call the mfr, but it's not worth my time. I'll ride this for a little while longer than just get a different model. Also, this model calculates distance ridden and mph based solely on pedal cadence. For example, whether your pedals are revolving at 80 rpm in an easy gear(level) or more difficult gear, the display will show the same speed and distance traveled. Anybody who has ridden on the road knows gears with more resistance will get you farther down the road faster if pedal cadence is the same. An ipod dock for tunes would've been nice too. 11/09/2011
