    • A. I have been reading all these reviews, and am in waiting for my brand new 24 ft above Intex Metal Frame above ground pool. So, I am studying about it before it arrives, which will be in about nine more days. But, I read many questions referring to 27 ft above ground pools, and they say it works great for them, and it does a great job chlorinating their pools. Also, in the manual it states that the salt filter works with the 32' x 18' x 52" rectangular pools..also it can filter up to 14,350 gallons of water per pool. Hope this helps!

    • A. The book states 310 lb. (8 bags) but since the salt doesn't evaporate and to reduce it you must drain the pool some, we opted to put less in at first. We put in 6 bags and after hooking up the saltwater system everything is fine. The lights are not indicating too much or less salt.

    • A. 310lbs but I recommend you add under that to begin with as you can easily add salt if you need more, but you have to drain a lot of water to remove it if you add to much. We live in a very hot area and suffer from water evaporation and as salt doesn't evaporate we can get a high salt alarm and automatic system shutdown if we don't top up with fresh water

I purchased the system that's pictured but when I received it it okay I t was the same model I had that went bad I guess the model number is CS8110 but not sure and can't find the model # of this one pictured. So little disappointed about this and of course the price has increased on the unit pictured since two days ago. Can't seem to find a model number anywhere on the box either.

very good thing right here got 3 summers use out of my first one , tried to get it running this year but apparently the power cord is a no go, personally I don't care that I have to buy a new one, I would recommend this to anyone with a pool. Especially if you have children swimming in it . This product keeps your pool crystal clear without the need for chlorine. To clean the copper element i recommend using CLR to clean it, will keep the copper element sparkling clean and shiny new looking. Always remember to use the proper amount of salt in your pool. This year we replaced our 16x48 pool with a 22x 52 pool and it is way bigger .. for this pool the 22' x 52" Ultra Frame Swimming Pool. For a pool this size you will need 260 pounds of salt for initial start up . then another 40 lb bag in case you have to remove some water. After it rains I suggest you use CLOROX POOL AND SPA SHOCK PLUS a one lb bag is all you will need to clear your pool right up. Just remember to remove this unit in the fall when you start to cover your pool , then reconnect it the next time you are ready to start swimming again . GREAT PRODUCT INTEX thank you for making it so simple to keep my pool clean...

We had an older model for 4 years before it died. Purchased this one and it died within 4weeks. We contacted Intex and they refused to replace it. Maybe a lemon? But very disappointed Intex refused to replace the unit. We have had intex products for over 15 years. What happened to customer service and support?

We bought this salt water system to go on our 16x48 pool. It works great! Added the salt and stabilizer Shocked the water & was clear by the next day. So much better than all the chlorine and chemicals. Will never have anything else. Except for maybe a sand filter to add to it :) Very impressed

Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion of the Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater System. We are happy to hear that you are enjoying your product. Calcium and other minerals can form white scale on the titanium plates in the electrolytic cell, thus requiring more frequent cleaning. You may find it desirable to treat your water (just as you would if it was being used in your house), if it is hard or has high levels of calcium, etc.
