Rated 5 out of 5 by Livinglifeintexas Intex Krystal Clear Salt system works Great! I have been running this system for two weeks now on my Intex 16' x 48" steel frame pool. It has made my pool so much more enjoyable. I no longer feel like a chemist in training. I could never seem to get the water balanced correctly, cloudy water, slimy pool bottom, etc. But now all those problems are gone.... As the title implies the water is Krystal Clear. No more pool feeling slimy or being cloudy. The only thing I have to maintain is the copper level which is done by using the salt water system. 07/19/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Snackin Stays crunchy, even in milk. I've owned the previous version of this chlorinator (dog ate it). I have always found they work well and this one is no exception. I LOVE the boost function which increases chlorine (and copper?) output to shock the pool and keep back algae.I live in an area with 100+ temperatures right now. I've needed to add a stabilizer for once, just because it is so hot, but on cooler summers (90-100) just the salt water and a 10-12 hour chlorination cycle keeps the pool sanitized, and the salt makes the water really soft and pleasant to swim in. 07/01/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by bmcgrath01 Excellent pool problems solution We have tinkered with the chlorine, pH, clarifier, etc. for 15 years. When we put up a new above ground pool (24' diameter by 48") we purchased the Clear Saltwater Sanitizing System. WOW! This has made phenomenal improvements to our pool! We put in 280 lbs. of the salt from Walmart for $5 plus tax.The pool has been so clear, the pH is right on the dot, and all we have to do is vaccuum it. We absolutely love it! You will, too! 07/05/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by conbar Pays for itself the first season. This was the best investment ever made. First of all, no more red eyes. to me that was worth the money. but, no more chlorine. no shocking. saved lots of money. I still cannot believe this works but it does. I set my timer for 3-4 hrs a day. Put your bags of salt into pool then only add one or two more bags the rest of the season.. depends how much water splashed is out with pool activity. the salt does not evaporate out. my pool is 16 x 42. 04/11/2012
