This Intex pool filter uses a powerful 0.50 horsepower motor to achieve a 1,600 GPH water flow rate. A pool owner is able to easily operate the unit in six different modes including standard filtration, backwash, rinse, re-circulate, drain and close. A Krystal Clear sand filter pump is a low-maintenance option because it only requires sand replacement every five years on average.

Extremely Happy This product was very easy to set up and operate. Have not had it long, so I cannot attest to how reliable it is, but it is doing its job. 07/26/2011
What a difference! We have a four foot intex pool and purchased a salt water filter last year. We used the filter that came with the pool last year and we had to clean and drain the pool two times over the summer. This year we upgraded to the 1600 gallon sand filter and continued to use the salt water filter and the pool water is great. What a difference between filters. It keeps it clean and clear and the pump in the sand filter is 120 times better than the original filter that came with the pool. I suggest upgrading to this filter, you won't be disappointed. 07/25/2011
This filter works so well at keeping my pool clear. I use it with the salt water ionizer. My water stays crystal clear. I had to backwash the filter after my son's birthday party but otherwise it has been easy to use and does an incredible job. I highly recommend it! 07/25/2011
We bought this pump for our 14 ft intex pool to upgrade from the paper filter pump that came with it. We love it. We run the pump two hours a day and the water is crystal clear. Great Pump for the money 07/23/2011
