Customer Product Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5★ by 16reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great for the kids! This pool is just the right size for our family -- wide enough to make my husband happy, deep enough to thrill my kids (ages 2 and 3, they're tall for their ages...), and shallow enough for me to not worry so much about them until they're more confident swimmers. Easy enough to set up and it didn't take as long as we thought it would to fill. 05/14/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Much easier than blow up ring kind I had the ring type for the past 3 years. This year I thought I would try the metal frame pool. My yard is slightly graded and the old pool was always off making me nervous. I figured this one would be a little more forgiving and safer. I set the pool up alone, in about an hour or so (prior to filling). I placed each leg on a small patio block. Since my yard is a bit sloped at one edge, I put two under a couple of legs to even it out a bit. I know the instructions say to completely level the yard (and you should), but I am unable to do that on my property. I am sure the patio blocks are not recommended, but I am just letting you know what I did. It helped level it a bit and provided a sturdy surface for the legs that I am pretty sure would sink into the ground after a while. The liner was much easier than the ring type to get the wrinkles out of. Once the frame is set it is pretty simple to smooth things out. As I filled the pool I walked around and straightened the legs and moved the blocks etc so that each one was right where it needed to be. The only thing that bothered me was the band that the bottom of the legs tuck into is all one long piece, so if you pull one leg out it pulls one near it in. It took constant vigilance to keep all the legs in the same position. I do not think that is really necessary, but I am a bit of a perfectionist. The pool filled with no issues. I hooked up the filter and away we went. It has been a couple of weeks now and no problems. We only ever add shock once or twice a week to our pool depending on how many people use it or what the weather has been like and keep a chlorine float in it. So far that seems to be working out fine with this pool as well. This pool seems to be a definite upgrade from the Easy Set. It was simple to put together, sturdier than ring type, and provides more swimming area.I really dont have anything negative about it to say. 06/09/2014
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Nice little pool yes, ended up picking one up at K-mart, anyway. its a nice little pool, great for my 5 year old daughter and her little friends. Had to purchase, a cover, a mat to place it on, a ladder, a thermometer, a chlorine floater, extra filters and a dozen different chemicals and test strips. The only issue has been keeping it not cloudy. The 530 gph paper filter pump is not effecient enough to keep pool crystal clear. I am keeping pump on for about 8 hours a day when not in use and after it is used I keep it on for about 24hrs at least, after about 3 weeks I noticed a slime on pool sides and bottom. Then started adding a super algecide 2 times a week and scrubbing sides, it gets clear after 24 hours pumping, that is taking out the filter once a day and washing out with hose., replacing after 2 wks at $4 to $5 each. It gets clear and non slimy, but as soon as people get in, its cloudy again. I do use the water hose vacum system once a week. I shock once a week and keep a 1" chlorine tab into floater all the time, I never been able to get a chlorine rating on my test strip. Anyway, I am purchasing a Intex 1600 gallon sand pump for $143 sand is $10, and a Intex Salt Generator system $139, 2 bags of salt $10. I am gonna empty pool, clean, put in fresh water, Chlorine Stabilizer Cyuric acid and salt, run filter for a day, then turn on salt generator. According to rave reviews, I will have a clear, non chemical pool. We will see....I will say I don't like that you have to fumble (remove clamp and remove 2 tubes from filter pump) with the intake and output water tubes coming in and out of filter pump, as water shoots out of these tubes, if you lift the top of the filter vessel to change filter, water gushes out like a fountain, I found out the first time, and couldn't close because the rubber ring would not sit properly as water was gushing out of top. You must twist air release valve before starting up pump. 05/31/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Had this pool for a couple of weeks. great value good quality, easy to set up. only con was adding a saltwater system to the filter pump that came with it , had to go to the hardware store and buysome adapters and additional hoses to connect both filter and saltwater system. but the saltwater system is the only way to go. add salt from charts and put in and your're basically done with chemicals. just right depth for 4 and five year olds. first birthday party in pool was worth the cost!!!! 06/15/2013
