Yes, it does. I'm a plus size mom too so I had this concern when I bought this carrier also. But it fits extremely well for bigger moms and is very comfortable for both mom and baby

It has pretty long ties, so it is very adjustable. There are two options for front carrying: you can either tie them behind baby or the can overlap behind the baby and then tie behind your back. It shows both options on the YouTube video.

I currently weigh 240lbs and most of my weight is in my stomach. Even being as big as I am there was still +12inches of fabric on both sides to tie with.

I don't find this hard to tie, but you do have to reach around a bit. But it can be done. I'm 5'8", 130 lbs... don't know if that makes a difference.

There is some difficulty when you're new to it but once putting it on a few times it becomes significant easier.

Most new (expensive) carriers mimic the on the mei tai, thus they all offer a comfortable setting position for babies and toddlers. The question is, would this carrier be comfortable for you? I think Yes, but it depends on your size and hight, and the weight of the baby of course. All carriers will give you a back ache if you wear them for a VERY only time. I've tried other expensive carriers, and my back started hurting in 10 min. With this carrier I was able to carry my baby for much longer times with no or very little discomfort.

My baby falls asleep every time, so it's definitely comfortable to sleep in. I could see it making your back tired eventually, but your back will eventually get tired carrying a baby no matter what carrier you're using. I've only carried LO for a little over an hour at a time, but my back wasn't tired yet.

I loved using this with my daughter to go on 1 mile walks. With it on my front my daughter would almost always fall asleep and she was fine and looked comfortable.

This is a great carrier. I started with the Moby Wrap, which I liked but it didn't have enough support and killed my back even when my baby was a newborn. I went out and got the Mei Tai because it was affordable and we love it! You're going to have to hold any baby when putting on a carrier, so I'm not sure how this is any different than any other carrier in that respect? It takes a couple of practice tries, but I don't think it's hard to put on at all. Also, for those saying the fabric is to wide? This is not a forward facing carrier. The fabric is wide to support the baby's/child's rear end, not to go between their legs.

I use to carry one twin at a time. It's very comfortable and easy to wear. Would suggest addition of a pocket for phone on one shoulder strap for added convenience

This was my favorite go-to carrier with my last child, and when she outgrew it I passed it on to a friend because I wanted it to continue being used. I just bought a second one for the new baby due in March, can't wait to use it!

Love this carrier

I started with a cheap carrier (also infantino I believe the swift) and it was ok for brief periods of time, but any more than about 10 minutes and it killed my back and shoulders. I decided to get this one, because the price point is great and its adorable. I absolutely fell in love with it after first use! I kept using it and waiting to be disappointed, I felt it was too good to be true, cute, easy to use, super comfortable, but the more I used it the more I loved it!! I have used it for simple things like grocery shopping, but I have also gone on 5+ mile walks with this carrier, no back or shoulder pain at all! This carrier is absolutely amazing I even convinced a friend to buy one and she loves it! Worth every penny, it is absolutely fabulous at a fabulous price point too!!

AMAZING

comfortable, and strong. a very well maid met tai. I did a huge search on baby carriers and I ended up buying this, not only because of it's price, but also because it fits me perfectly (most expensive carriers fits people from 5' and up and I'm only 4.5'). It's also easy to make it shorter if needed. Most importantly, my baby is comfortable in it, as it helps babies sit on their bottoms with no pressure points under the knees. I just love it !!!

LOVE IT, without breaking my budget

A must have product for stay at home moms... It's very handy if you need to do household chores with a fussy baby.. Once the baby is in the carrier, the baby is comfortable and we can get to do our work .. I am using this for my 2.5 month old baby - his neck still needs support... Infantino also has an added feature to support the neck... Absolutely love this product and would recommend to other moms

Awesome product

This carrier is amazing!! I tried the expensive Moby Wrap even a friends Tula. I bought this desperately one night when our newborn just wanted to be held. The day we received this we went on a 3.5 hr walk around town and it was amazing. It was a little warm but the temp outside was also close to 100°.  Very easy to wrap and very easy to wear! Buy this you will not be disappointed!!!
