Disturbed's fourth full-length offering announces its arrival with an air-raid siren. It's an appropriate gesture for the popular Chicago-based metal collective, whose rapid ascension from buzzed-about Ozzfest highlight to commercial hard rock juggernaut has been as divisive as it has been impressive. While Indestructible doesn't meddle with the melodic hard-hitting Pantera-inspired formula that fueled its predecessors, the dreaded nu-metal tag that followed the band out of the turn of the century seems wholly eradicated. If anything, Disturbed owe more to early-'90s Metallica and Brian Johnson-era AC/DC than they do Tool or Korn, as each staccato, tech-heavy riff is balanced out by some truly artful soloing and frontman David Draiman's mean and melodious pipes. Standout cuts like &quot;Inside the Fire,&quot; &quot;Deceiver, &quot; &quot;The Curse,&quot; and the skull-cracking title track, even though they could have appeared on any of the group's first three records, still manage to fire on every cylinder. Like its closest contemporary, Godsmack, this is a band that favors reliability over experimentation, and each piece of Indestructible, whether it's the pseudo-horror/fantasy artwork, the drop-D riffing, or the obligatory &quot;shout-outs&quot; in the liner notes to the purveyors of each member's gear endorsement deals, fits together like the world's most obvious puzzle. If you're a fan of the normal metal genre, or a fan of DISTURBED, this album will not disappoint you anytime soon.

Great CD for any DISTURBED fan.

"Indestructible" marks the triumphant return of one of my favorite bands, Disturbed. I think it is simply an incredible album and one of the standout rock releases of 2008 to date.

The album certainly delivers on the band's trademark sound and does not stray too far from what made Disturbed successful to begin with - as a matter of fact, I feel it is more of a return to the harder sound they had prior to 10,000 Fists. I also feel that their maturity clearly shines through with this release and they have found the perfect balance between the metal and the melodic.

As usual, David Draiman's strong vocals, the outstanding guitar work of Dan Donegan and the pounding rhythm section of John Moyer and Mike Wengren, work together in undeniable harmony to bring the out the best of every song. I think Dan has really taken his guitar playing to the next level - his solos are OUTSTANDING on many of the songs - what a talent.

I have a hard time picking out favorites - the entire album is so strong -but if I had to choose, Indestructible, Perfect Insanity and Divide are standouts for me.

songs like Inside The Fire, Indestructible, and Divide...just show they still have it to make truly recognisable music. best metal band out there i would truly recommend this to anyone who likes hard, heavy music

Great, Great CD. I absolutely love this CD. I like all the songs on it which is rare for any group to put out an album and have every single song be great. The lyrics really tell a story which helps you make sense of it all. Awesome! This is a replacement CD because I couldn't get my original copy back from my son who can't get enough of Disturbed.

Mind blowing!

Overall an Excellent collesction of Incredible songs. Some more than others, however I think that it expands the appeal to a wider group of people rather than taking away from it.

I would like to caution parents that this album is not edited or censored. How it made it to the shalves in Wal-Mart without being, I do not know. Although if you hold the lyrics permissable then the words that would be edited normally seem almost innocent so perhaps editing wasn't deemed necessary.

Both arived like 3 days earlier that the date summery it was suposed to arive between, perfect love them, didnt expect the cover to be a book with lyrics that was a perfect touch, overall a great buy

Perfect condition works fine arive early

As a huge Disturbed fan, I didn't hesitate to pick this up. The songs really have a message in them (especially Inside the Fire) and show that Disturbed really puts emotion in their songs. Any Disturbed fan will add this to their collection and to newcomers, this album is the best place to start. Word to all parents, the album is not edited so there will be some cursing in some songs.

The Best Album Yet

This is a truely awesome album. Fast paced and dark. Beware, this album is not censored, even though Walmart supposidly only carries censored music. Either someone screwed up or I got lucky, because the copy I bought at a local store was not censored.

Best cd i've bought yet

This CD sounds just like everything else from them and theres nothing different about it. I can take or leave this CD and you really have to be a hardcore Disturbed fan to really enjoy this CD. The band says this is the heaviest darkest CD to date from them and its not its a sophmore CD and goes back to The Sickness sound. I wouldnt waste my money on it because you are gonna be in for a major let down on some of the songs
