Great cooler that works well as cooler & as wheely I bought this cooler when I was prepping for my first camping trip in a decade. Good size for holding stuff, holds block ice plus fresh milk, cooked meat, block cheese, a dozen soda cans, and has room for more loaves of bread and other folks' soda too! Wheely feature works well although the retractability is a little less one-touch this year, still works great.Minor nuisance having to tilt the Cube to drain meltwater out of the bottom, but not a big deal, especially because it balances nicely (even full) at the necessary tilt angle.With two cubes of block ice in it, I've repeatedly found that it'll keep things cool well, and the blocks are only about at half-melt when I replace them two days later. This year I took a quart of pre-cooked meat sauce out of my fridge and into cooler when I left on vacation, had cooler in the sunny side of my tent all week at camp, used a little of the meat sauce early in the trip, most of it still in the plastic container. I got home after 8 days with that container (and two others of cooked meet) in the bottom with the remains of block ice units 5 and 6, unloaded car but left the cooler sitting (sunny side of carport) for 36 hours before I got around to unloading it And there was STILL some solid ice in four of the five plastic bags around each chunk of solid ice. Took those unused leftovers in and they're still good for people purposes, not just dog purposes.Love the size! I travel alone, and can put the Cube (roughly a 20-inch cube) in passenger seat of my car, with the drain at the edge of seat, and not need to $pend on my travel liquids and snacks at gas-station convenience-store prices. Which also saves me many a meal delay; I can eat out of the cooler at a roadside rest stop while I tilt my seat back and relax with my Kindle. NOTE: if you do this, make sure to buckle the passenger front seat belt first to disable the yenta systems in newer cars! It's a pain trying to do so once you have your full Cube in place beside you. 08/19/2011
Best cooler for the money. Will go on sale for $25. Reg $30 at Academy. price out coolers, you can't beat 50 cents per quart on wheels. Great cooler, keeps ice frozen for days, especially if you toss some block ice in there at the bottom, which is fine with this cooler since it holds so much. I have friends and have met strangers with this cooler, and we all agree, best cooler we ever owned. 10/30/2011
*KEPT MY ICE, DRINKS & FOOD COLD... After putting ice in this, it did not melt for 2 1/2 DAYS!! Food, Drink stayed cold. Went camping from May-August 2011 every weekend, this ice chest stayed in the sun most of the time. I will be buying another this year for camping! *Although when we bought this last year it did not have a handle with wheels, just the carry handle, it is the same just with very good improvements!!! 01/26/2012
Doesn't fit I have a standard 4 door luxury vehicle with an above average size trunk and this cooler will NOT fit upright in the trunk. It will fit sideways but then the water from the melting ice leaks all over the trunk. 10/03/2011
