Love it! The perfect storage solution if you have a walk in closet. Holds both mine and my husbands shoes (with the excption of flip flops for obvious reasons). I saw this in another store (exact same brand) for 20.00 more. I came home and researched who also carried it and found that Walmart had it much cheaper.

I had been looking for a product like this for about a year before finding it on Walmart.com. It arrived quickly and the shipping cost was quite reasonable. The only issue I had was a bent thread that wouldn't attach correctly. When I contacted the manufacturer directed by email, they responded in less than an hour and shipped a replacement part right away. My shoes and I couldn't be happier!

I want to use this in my garage and the ceiling height is 11 ft. I read a review stating that additional hardware allows it to be used in higher ceilings. If this is accurate what additonal items are needed.

    • We have 8 ft ceilings. It comes with one extra piece that will make it work for 9 ft ceilings. We did not use that extension.

    • My boyfriend simply added a wooden dowel that he had spray painted silver. He may have had to cut the dowel, but that's it. He added the dowel when he assembled the Tree so the spring tension portion was still in tact and functioning. If we ever choose to sell this item, it hasn't been modified in any way! Hope this helps!

    • It will accommodate up to a nine foot ceiling. However, you can call customer service and try to obtain an additional rod to extend it I would think.

I'm wondering if my closet is tall enough for this shoe tree. I have 80 inches to work with...
    by GreenOrchid 4/22/2012
    • 80" should not be a problem because you do not have to use every section of the pole. Assemble the pole one piece at a time until it is tall enough for your closet - don't forget about the top two pieces that are springloaded to create tension. Also, in shorter assembled situations, you will encounter a more crowded fit with all four baskets on the pole.

    • We have 8 ft celiings so we didn't use the additional piece to make it taller (it was another 12 inches) and the spring tensioner would have went lower for a smaller ceiling. I think this would work fine.

    • It all depends on the size of your shoes. Yes this shoe tree can be used in your closet because it is adjustable but you will not be able to hold the maximum number of shoes on it (36) if you have large shoes. With larger shoes you will have to shorten the main rod which means you can not place as many shoe baskets on the pole since you only have 80 inches to work with. You can also save space by eliminating the accessory basket.

    • You can remove the top section of the shoe tree and then use the spring section following the directions. That's what we had to do and it worked. Good luck.

    • I do not think so, my floor to cealing is about 93 inches and I had to take the extra peice out to be able to use it. It is pretty tight.

I lost my assembly instructions and don't remember where the spring mechanism goes? Please help me out. Thanks!
    by AssemblyInstructionNeeded 7/14/2013
    • It goes into the top section - the narrow piece that extends to the ceiling goes over it.

    • It goes on the outside of the thinner bar which gets inserted into the top bar of the entire assembly unit.

    • Spring slides into the top bar. Slide large cap on to small pressure bar. Place small end cap on end. Slide into top and snog end cap on top. Large cap goes on top for ceiling.

    • On the floor to ceiling shoe tree, the spring goes into the part "A" top tube. From the bottom (base), the tubes go together as follows: part C, part D, another part D and then part "A." The Part "A" tube is the only tube with 2 open ends. You put the spring down into part "A" tube, then put the part "B" tension tube, with the cap with hold and end cap down inside of tube "A." If you need further assistance, please contact Tracy at 1-800-922-5524, ext. 237, until 12:00 today. After that, anyone in customer service can help you. Thank you for purchasing a Household Essentials product. We appreciate your business.
