So my floors are dirty.ive been allover sites trying to pick a vaccum that works and is not going to break my bank. And this is our for me. The feature to turn off the brush helps to nor spit out cat liter. Ive used it for times and an very happpy so far. But we will see if it lasts. 02/28/2012

I bought it to replace a 30-year old Hoover Concept One (that still works!), so needless to say there have been some nice updates. I'm really impressed with the strong suction - particularly when using the attachments. I don't allow my dog on my furniture, but I used the pet hand tool to vacuum the back of my SUV where my dog rides and it worked well. My favorite tool is the crevice tool. I've used it a lot to get to those hard-to-reach places both in my house and SUV. I was a little worried when I read that it had a 12' stretch hose because I was afraid I'd have this big gob of hose to mess with on the back of my vacuum cleaner, but I was relived to discover that the hose is only about 3'-4' but is very stretchy. This vacuum is also light and easy to push. My old Hoover was self-propelled, and while this one is not, it seems just as easy to me - probably because it is so much lighter. The HEPA filters and bag apparently work because they definitely eliminate the dog smell. In the older model, as soon as I got a little dog hair in the bag it smelled like dog and made my whole house stink every time I vacuumed. I'm pleased with this vacuum so far, and I've been very pleased with the Hoover brand (I also have a Hoover carpet cleaner). 02/25/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by daquad good product overall I wanted a new vacuum because my Dyson canister vac was awkward and i do not like the bagless vacs. A Bissell was recommended and i tried it - it did a very good job - but was too heavy for me.I have had this Hoover for a while and used it about 3 times. I love it! it really does a good job and got the cat hair off the chair and sofa really well.I would like to have a hose that is longer or easier to stretch out. this one is hard to extend. that's my only complaint.It is not too heavy and really has good suction.i have not had to discard the bag yet - but have tried it and it is super easy - much easier and cleaner than the bagless ones. yes, you have to buy bags but that's a good trade off for me. I got some at Costco - on line - they came the next day. cheaper than other places. 01/06/2012
