My husband and I got this vacuum last weekend. Our Dyson died after eating our living room rug and we werent going to spend $400 again. Before the Dyson we had a Hoover, but it didnt have any tools - so we were surprised to see all the features on this one AND that we dont have to buy filters (the reason we bought the Dyson originally.) At the store, there wasnt one on the shelf to see, and my husband was reluctant to buy anything without seeing it first,... but after looking at all the features it looked like a good deal. Our home is half hardwoods, half carpet, so having the brushroll off switch was super nice. My favorite thing on this vacuum is that the hose is SUPER long and the suction is still great! I can get all the way to the top of the stairs without carrying the vacuum which is a blessing. I would put the suction up against my old Dyson anyday! My only concern is the shaky handle because the power brush falls off the top - (I never use it anyway, so we put it in the closet.) Overall, we are happy, great vacuum, easy to use & fits in closet, cleans well, has everything we need. But I wish it were a little sturdier in the handle.

My old Eureka decided to quit on me and I found myself at good old Wal Marts in the vacuum isle. Well there was NOT much to choose from...actually the vacuum section was a hot mess. Nothing was organized and put in the correct place. I was not seeing anything I wanted. Then I see this single Hoover wind tunnel and it is beckoning to me. It did not have a floor model, nor a price to be found. I thought about it for a few minutes and decide to just take a chance. It was easy to put together and - oh my - it sucked up so much dust and dirt off the living room carpet! I LOVE the self rewinding cord. It is the most amazing feature and I hope it doesn't ever break! I love the bag-less feature too, although it is not as easy to maneuver as my old Eureka. The handle folds down and there is another little front handle which makes it easier for carrying up and down stairs. Glad I purchased!

This is the second vacuum we've purchased after getting rid of our Kirby. The Kirby performed well but was too heavy. Now, we have this model Hoover and we love it! As far as suction power goes, this unit picks seems to pick up a comparable amount of dirt than our old Kirby. Let's just say I was amazed at how full the canister got the first time I used it. The automatic rewinding cord ROCKS! I can't believe the Kirby didn't have this feature. How did we ever live without it? The handle is held in place with only one screw but so far, no problems there. Everything lines up nice and tight. Assembly went very quickly. All I had to do was install the handle (1 screw) and attachments. Everything else was done.

I just got this vacuum and im already in love with it. Ok when i first got the vacuum home i was suprised when i took it out of the box that you only have to screw the handle on and put the dust cup on and you are ready to go. I love the cord rewind because i dont have to wind the cord up, plus the cord is long for a vacuum with a cord rewind. I also love the foot brush on/off switch, that makes it easy to vacuum with the hose and not have the brushroll spin. I was also suprised on how long the hose was, when i was looking for a new vacuum i looked on hoovers website and looked at other t-series vacuums the other hoses was only 8 feet long but this one is 12 feet long. I like bagless but this vacuum sometimes the hair gets stuck when you empty it so you have to take the top off, but that's no big deal. Sometimes the cord rewind gets stuck when i pull the cord out, but all you do is pull it back in and pull it out again. THe handle is not sturdy at all with the hand turbo tool so i just took it off and put it away. The vacuum came with a turbo tool a 12in wand a crevis tool and a dsuting brush. When it comes to how loud it is, it varys by how big your room is that you are vacuuming, if it's big then the vacuum isn't that loud but it has a little high sound, if you are in a small romm or hallway then it really loud but i don't really mind that. I LOVE THIS VACUUM, even after what i went throug to get it i dont regret buying it , (because the first time i went to buy it, there was none at the store the next time there was 1 but the box was all smashed up. The third when some guy was lookng at it and he decided not to buy it because the corner was smashed, i was looking at it but then he grabed it out of my hands and said that he was going to buy it. and then the last time i needed to buy some milk i i decided to look to see if they had 1 and they did so i bought the last 1.) But any ways i would recommend this to anyone.

I have only had this vacuum cleaner for a week and initially I was so happy. The suction is great. The downside is that now its making a loud noise and smells like something is burning although hubby and I have found nothing in the belt or under the cleaner, the cord retraction is not working properly, when you empty the container it does not empty property so you have to dig in the container to pull down the dust balls, etc. And as another reviewer said at the bottom of the dust container are compartments where yelchy globs of dust get stuck and you cant just dump it out you have to dig it out. I have resorted to using a Q-tip. I vacuum everyday so I need a dependable cleaner and the Hoover Elite rewind that I purchased for $60.00 over a year ago worked better. I will just dig that one back out of the closet even though I hate cleaning the filter once a week. Taking this one back to the store

The night before i bought this vacuum I used my moms brand new Dyson Ball Vacuum on my carpets, then that morning we went to get me one and I saw this product that I figured I would give a try. I got it home and all I had to do was screw the handle on and I was ready to go. I got about half way through my living room and the cup was full, I mean full of dirt and sand. Gross, right? To think the night before I vacuumed with a Dyson. I love the automatic cord rewind, It is rather light and easy to push. The suction on this product is unreal!!!! If you are looking to buy a Dyson, try this Hoover first...I mean all in all if you dont like it you can take it back, but you should try it you could save about 300 dollars and lets face it how couldnt use 300 dollars!!!.

Very easy to maneuver and very lightweight. Suction is very strong and powerful. Better than other products I've used. Better at picking up dirt than other floorcare products I've used in the past. Especially love the cord rewind feature and the folding handle feature. Makes it very easy to store and use.

I was looking for a mid price vacuum specifically for hard wood floors and to hand clean speaker covers. The T-Series from Hoover had most of what I wanted but this particular model with extended hose and brush roll shutoff is sold only at Walmart. For that reason, I felt that I had to pay a bit more (list price) to get the features. Therefore, I knocked off a star for Value. Pros: solidly built, great suction, easy to empty, hand wand fairly easy to use and stow, cord retract works well. Cons: Walmart only model has extended hand hose. The hand hose on standard models is too short so this one seemed a must. Problem is the collapsible material used to fit extended hose into space for standard hose is too thin walled and has issues. It is well made and strong but retracts too easily under powerful suction. The crevice nozzle is almost unusable because the hose sucks back to a collapsed position. Even without the nozzle, the hose is always trying to collapse back. If you go up the next level in the T-Series, you can get the brushroll shutoff but you get the normal (short) hose. The other issue with all the T-Series is the extension wand is too short to reach the floor standing up. They should have included a second section. One additional con: it is noisier than my canister vac. However; it is a vacuum so who cares if it is noisy. Still, with these minor issues, I am happy with the purchase as it does what I need and seems like it will last.

My family's vacuum broke and I needed to get a new vacuum since I was the one who needed it the most. We got the WindTunnel and now it's so much easier to clean. The vacuum is so much lighter and easier to maneuver. I love the idea of the cord that does not have to be manually wound up. Since I have a puppy who tracks a lot of dirt everywhere, it's nice to have the option to switch to hardwood floors. Since the puppy owns everything, I also really like the attachments and the long hose that I can use on the furniture. The vacuum is so much more quiet than anything I've ever had that the puppy doesn't try to attack the WindTunnel when I'm running it. Lastly, I LOVE the idea of no bags and no filters! Before, if my dad didn't feel like emptying and replacing the bag, then the whole house would have to wait to use the vacuum. Now, I simply go outside to the trash and press down to release and I'm done! Clean up and maintenance is so minimal that vacuuming in my house is no longer a duck and cover escape, but a "might as well do every room possible while I'm at it" attitude change.

Thin plastic cracked out of box

I bought this to replace a Bissell baglless I bought ten years ago for $60. Even though I got extremely good value out of my old vacuum, there were design issues and I was willing to pay twice as much to have them addressed. The machine worked well on its first try out and it floor was in the worst shape it had ever been. The power attatchement became clogged when cleaning the couch and part of the plastic casing broke off when I was putting it back together after removing the clog. Then when I was finished vacuumiing the dirt cup release didn't work and then I noticed it was cracked. This may have been a shipping issue. I ordered it online and it may have gotten rough treatment, and it was left on my door for possily hours in below freezing temperatures. Still, I didn't want to exchange it with the same product, so I went back to a Bissell. But it did a very good job picking up the garbage, but the plastic is thinner than on the Bissell.

  • A. The spinning brush on the front of the machine is activated by a brush roll pedal on the left side of the machine which is engaged by either pressing it down with your foot to engage or pressing the same pedal again to disengage the brush. Very easy to operate in either mode.

  • A. I tried this on my vacuum and the brushroll stops when I press the pedal. Turning on and off the brushroll is very easy by pressing the pedal with your foot, no bending over required. Much easier than other products with this type of feature. I also tried just putting the vacuum in the upright position without pressing the pedal and brushroll does not stop so I think the only way to stop the brushroll is to press the pedal

It was able to vacuum this one on the highest setting with the brushes on, but I prefer to turn the brushes off to ensure that the beater brush does not fray the fabric rug. I replaced my Dyson with this one and have been MORE that satisfied with the switch.
