The Honeywell RTH230B Thermostat is a 5-2 day digital thermostat that allows a high degree of temperature control accuracy. Featuring four programmable periods for both weekdays and weekends, the Honeywell Programmable Thermostat, 5-2 Day, also includes a convenient digital LCD display. This digital thermostat allows you to enjoy energy savings by setting simple programming periods to fit your lifestyle. With a slim and compact design, the easy-to-read display allows you to find end point, temperature and program information with ease. Battery powered, with an easy-access battery compartment, this digital thermostat retains the program in memory in the event of a power outage. The Honeywell RTH230B Thermostat also has an early start function to ensure the preprogrammed temperature is reached by the desired time and an advanced temperature control, which minimizes temperature swings to ensure total comfort to +/- 1 degree F accuracy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mommy434 LOVE IT!! I got this last year and my heating bill was running over $200 a month. as soon as we set this up I was blown away on how much my bill went down. Now it's running around $98 a month. I keep my settings low. at night it drops to 62 and 30 min's before we get up it goes up to 69. I love that when we get cold we can turn it up and go back to bed and after 2 hours it resets it's self to 62. It was a little hard to put in but I know nothing about wires. I just got another one of these for my parents for christmas! 11/28/2009

I later discovered the item was stocked in store which would have saved the waiting time for my order to come in.I expected it to be easier. The installation instructions are not very clear especially with the installed thermostat being an older one. With it not being the same, the instructions do not tell you specifically what do to, where and how i.e. extra wire, etc. It seemed a bit confusing. So, right now not utilizing it as well as I should or could. I will try to reprogram again though to see if it will work as designed to. May need to reread instructions and just reprogram.Also, I do not like to have to take the cover off when I need to use switch to change from heat to air or vice versa. I wanted to be able to lift up and lower the cover. I now have to snap the front cover completely off in order to do this and then snap back on. (Our weather is changing more extremely than usual right now so having to adjust for it.) At this time I am undecided, so I may have to repurchase. 05/11/2010
Rated 3 out of 5 by Customer1943 This Thermostat is battery hungry This thing uses batteries like they are going out of style, I use rechargeable batteries and they don't last but a week or so. I also have a Lux Tx500 Thermostat which is about the same, that uses the same batteries, they have been in that one for over 8 months and still going. Guess I will have to try some regular batteries and see if it works any better. 10/19/2012
