life saver I bought this particular unit for all the things it says it filters. We have a cat and recently my 4 year old was diagnosed with asthma. Set out to fulfill the asthma issue and not knowing if the cat was triggering it as I thought since we had the cat before my child was born that theres was no way could it be the cat. I'm happy to say that we didn't have to get rid of the cat as this air purifier is a life saver. Can't say from day one but after the "new" smell (about 24 hours) we were pleasantly surprised. We leave it in his bedroom and on for 24/7. He hasn't had any asthma realated issues since purchasing and setting it up. Its a big bulky machine but not heavy. Noise factor even on high is not high. We are very pleased and we are looking forward to purchasing another one for our room. Did I mention that it takes away food smells as well. Last but not least the room its in is 30x40. 12/05/2011
Outstanding performance! I bought this air purifier primarily to clean the air of smoke that comes through the wall of my apartment from my next-door neighbor who smokes. Eureka! It works as it was advertised to do! I ran it on high for a few days until I could no longer smell smoke & then turned it down to medium. I had a little trouble getting the carbon filter into the air purifier (the filter comes sealed in a plastic bag so it will be fresh when you get the machine), but that was due to the instructions & once I figured those out it went well. 12/01/2011
Great purifier! My husband developed cat allergies after we had our cats for 2 years. I leave it running all the time...it is quiet and it has definitely helped with his allergies! This is great! 02/05/2012
