Sleep qualty is greatly improved. ***Only thing found which is not perfect is....when remove tank for refiling, there is water which MUST be gotten up in the bottom part. Unknown if it's leaking :() or what. Still looking for some type of menthol "additive". 02/21/2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by thecoffeebeangirl Pretty good humidifier, lasts around 12 hours I have never had a humidifier before but i think this is pretty good.In the beginning it will make some noise as it starts taking in the water from the bottom (bubbles come up intermittently and you can hear it), this last about 30 mins or so until it becomes a steady input of water with no air gaps and it's when you hear a low constant misty output sound, it does not bother me nor does it wakes me up at night. Sounds like when you say shhhhh to someone, a constant very low shhhhhh sound.As stated in the manual, it develops a thick white deposit as it evaporates the water. It requires daily cleaning and weekly vinegar soaking. In CA, the water is clearly dirty, anything you wash becomes slightly whitish after it dries, so this problem may be more noticeable in this state than others.It has 2 settings, low (1) for around one and a half night of use (turns off automatically when emptied, but the heating chamber stays warm so you must turn it off then i believe, for safety (this low setting usually causes my bedroom windows to fog and drip, even if i leave the door open). The max setting (2) will only last one night and makes much more noise, but the steam output is major. I do not think the max setting is necessary unless it's for a living room and you must humidify the air quickly. I don't think it's a deal breaker.I have been using it almost daily for the last 40+ days since I got it and it still works fine. I got it as a gift but for the price, I think it's worth the money. You want fancy mist? simple, pay much more.Does the job, looks good, decent cleaning schedule, nice tank size for whole night. 02/06/2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by AJVMSPA Better than Sunbeam We're happy with ours. No problems so far. A lot of people's complaints about buildup have to do with hard water, which is not the humidifiers fault. We've had two Sunbeams before this one, and we prefer this one. 02/05/2013
