Honeywell Generator 2000 When I got my new Honeywell I added oil, gas and with the choke on it started with the first pull. Thats no lie. I new it was not going to be as quiet as the Honda's but very much softer noise level than my Coleman sportsman 1850 , for the price of $450.00 it was well worth it. Great unit! Nice, quiet, and start's right up! A little heavier than expected, but very solid, and stays put vs walking off while running. The automatic fuel saver mode does its job as well. When using at home, my neighbors didn't even notice. 05/22/2009
Quiet has a value If your needs are mostly recreational but still would like a little bit of home backup for emergencies; this is a great generator! You can sure buy one much more powerful for the same money but the quiet operation, portability, and clean inverter power is great and definately has a value. I bought mine for my Airstream travel trailer, runs a portable A/C unit(7000 BTU), lights, TV, mini fridge etc. with power to spare. I'm sure the similiar Honda 2000i is top of the line, but I saved hundreds of dollars buying this comparable Honeywell. Mine starts on about the 6th to 8th pull and I can live with that. The pull cord is very smooth and easy, so if that is a concern due to physical limitations; don't worry. Does weigh about like a "super stuffed" large suitcase, though. Runs forever on a tank of gas. If you have money to burn or need a generator for daily work use, I can see going with the Honda. But otherwise, buy this Honeywell! I could be picky and rate it 3 or 4 stars, but I love a great value! I can't help but give it 5!!! 05/07/2010
great buy This inverter generator is everybit as good as the competitions generator that sells for hundreds more. I had the privelege of camping next to a fellow camper who had another brand and he was amazed at the performance and durabililty of this Honeywell unit. So if you are in the market for a generator give this one a look, and compare for yourself. Great features, easy to start, quiet, and it delivers. 07/31/2009
