Homz Professional Wide-Top Ironing Board, Cream

Excellent Wide board with coated steel mesh top, great for steam ironing. Very Stable, not heavy and easy to set up and take down. Height adjustment works well. The iron rest that also doubles as a clothes hanger can be adjusted back from the end of the board so that you can upgrade to a thicker, padded cover. The 2 piece Muslin cover that comes on the board is pretty standard but I would recommend replacing with a padded, coated cover. I chose Polder IBC-9548-570 48-Inch Heavy Use Replacement Ironing Pad and Cover and it fits this board well. Also the shelf below is nice bonus and can be taken off and put back on easily. The board is very stable, does not wobble at all and the welds on the legs look substantial. The only ironing board brand still made in America according to the Homz website. Very glad to have purchased this and grateful to Walmart.com for making it available at a reasonable price.

I purchased this ironing board after trying a much less expensive board, which wobbled terribly and "walked " across the floor. The Homz board is very sturdy and, so far, I haven't noticed any sliding on hard floors. It is also wider and I can fit larger portions of the clothing onto the board at one time, which cuts down on ironing time. The iron rest works well except when I'm working at the opposite end of the board. Then I must take a step to the side to get the iron. The shelf under the board seems useless to me. It's not very large and won't hold much. It sits too low to hang anything from it without touching the floor. I needed to replace the cover and pad because, as other reviewers stated, they are very thin. The available replacement cover seems to work well. I would definitely recommend this ironing board.

I didn't realize when I bought this Iboard it was this expensive just because it has the bottom shelve,It was to late I had already took off plastic wrap,I don't even use it because of the waffle mark's and the lack of padding I always put an extra bed sheet plus i'll buy another pad ,but I cannot find the pad's for this size board at the store,it's never in stock,I am glad I didn't get rid of my regular size board I had,and that's what I am using,i went through one this extended size it rusted out!So I replaced it with this one and noticed when I got home it was fancier than my other one,that is okay but the padding is so thin it's useless at this time!Hope I can find the pad online,I use a lot of starch and steamiron's That if it's not padded it will just rust faster,I figure I still have 10 more year's of ironing my husband work shirt's and docker's and at his 6'3 I really need the extended version of Iboard!!Sign Me as:OldFashion

I bought this ironing board as an upgrade to the standard ironing board that I have had for thirty odd years. I appreciate the larger size and the sturdier construction. The iron stand at the end is also a plus, as I no longer have to worry about the iron tipping off of the board. The only down side is that the cover and pad are merely passable, which I quickly remedied by adding additional 100% wool padding (from a serape purchased in a thrift store for $2.50) and a new cover that I easily made from some 100% cotton scrap fabric. This board is a pleasure to work on,

The ironing board is nice and big which makes ironing easier. However, it is true that the padding on this board is paper thin. You can clearly see and feel the metal waffle board. It is not much of a problem if you are ironing heavy fabric but you can see the imprint of the board on thinner material like a t-shirt.

Love the height of this ironing board. It is very sturdy and has great locking system on legs. It is heavy duty, about 20lbs. The ironing board cover is entirely too thin, though. I do not like that feature at all.

I am a ex-military man that still feels a bit out of uniform when my shirts and pants aren't crisp and starched when I leave each morning... I have fought for years with different, less expensive ironing boards and gadgets that are supposed to make it easier.... Finally, a sturdy, large surface with a place to rest the iron, and store hangers while you do what you do! Buy it....

This is just what I was looking for. It is very roomy and the iron rest helps that a lot. Also very sturdy, no wobbles.

Love the wide top - great for ironing large items like sheets and tablecloths. Overall great quality board.
