Worth the Effort! I bought this bed probably because of the "Solid" review, and upon my own purchased I definitely agree about the sturdiness of this bed!Assembly- not the easiest. I laid everything out like picture of all the boards (very helpful) and was careful not to misplace ANY screws, dowels, exc. You need (no question about it) 2 people working on this-ie four hands, two pairs of eyes (for double checking instructions especially), and I'd buy an extra screwdriver next time so we could both be working simultaneously. It is a little rigorous but not beyond average ability-- take extra time being thorough with instructions and block out at least 2 hours .Structure- solid:) not really any damage, one small scratch which I covered with one of the included black circle stickers, and now you can't tell at all. With both my mattress and box spring on it it's a bit taller than expected, but that's a happy surprise (it only leaves about 7 or 8 inches of headboard peeking out the top. Also there's plenty of height to store somethings underneath.Overall, it's pleasing to the eye, quiet (not squeaky), and I think a very worthwhile purchase- especially with free site-to-store, which says it can take up to about 2 weeks to deliver and mine arrived in one. 10/03/2011

We love this bed! We've been sleeping on our new bed for 2 weeks and couldn't be more pleased. We were looking for a value-priced bed but were willing to pay more for solid construction. This bed exceeded our expectations. It took us approximately 5 hours to construct but it is solid. Hats off to the Danes for knowing how to build a solid piece of furniture. Even better, it looks great and is the perfect height. 11/02/2011
