Rated 4 out of 5 by momof4inPGH1WV2NC3 Beautiful, classy-looking dishes I purchased my dishes on-line (store pick up option) at a clearance price which was the only way that I could afford these. I have wanted them for 2 years now, but needed 3 sets so I was absolutely thrilled to find them clearanced, but this caused an issue in the long run. Apparently, the clearanced dishes were an older style of the same dishes (possibly a different manufacturer). Out of the 3 boxes, 2 of them needed to be replaced either from breakage or some pretty big flaws. When I went to the store to exchange them, they only had the updated sets. I liked the older set much better. The corners were a little more curved instead of completely flat - less of a chance of food rolling off, and to me they just looked better. I checked literally 6 different stores and finally found the older style in a rural store 45 minutes away. We had to open almost every set they had to get 2 good sets out of them, but I was ecstatic to get them. They are beautiful, heavy-duty, classy-looking dishes that look like they'd be quite expensive! Maybe the newer styles that they have out now come without all of the issues and problems that I had, but then you're paying $30 more per set - I couldn't have gotten them in that case. Definitely worth the money either way! The matching serving pieces are mostly the new style, but those match close enough not to matter or be noticeable - I'm working on those next! 08/16/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by hlukdgrtsdhg Great Dishes! When I was considering buying these dishes I was concerned about some reviews saying they wouldn't fit in the dishwasher and break easily. I have now had them over a year and only one of the dishes has a chip and none have broken and I have 3 sets. I have also lived in 3 different places since getting these dishes and they have fit in all of the dishwashers just fine. The only complaint that seems valid to me is that the big plates don't turn in the microwave but I think that's characteristic of any large square plate. I get compliments on these dishes all the time and I couldn't be happier with my decision to buy these! 12/29/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Happyhomeowner222 Beautiful I received this set as a gift when I bought my home. I already had a set of dishes so I save this set for when I have guests over (not everyday use). I get so many compliments on it. It is so beautiful and looks expensive. I recently found matching placemats at walmart and it looks great when the table is set. Not sure how it would be in the microwave or dishwasher. I choose to wash these by hand to avoid the possibility of chipping. Love this set. Looking into buying extra plates for when I have alot of guests. 01/15/2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Manalapan I received these as a gift and loved them. They say they are dishwasher and microwave safe. They are mistaken. My dinner plate just cracked in the microwave, I was only reheating, I am glad I was not just heating. Terrible do not buy....... 01/14/2012
