Hands fall off This clock is big!! It looks nice, and works if you just want it for display, not to tell time. The red arms are realy thin and cheep. When I took the clock out of the box the hands fell off. Put them back on and it does not keep good time. 04/23/2010
Don't be deceived by this cool-looking clock! When I spotted this clock on the shelf, I fell in love. It would be perfect for my homeschool room and so in spite of the fact that 1) it was a lot more than I had intended to pay for a clock and 2) the clock at the front of the display had obviously been returned (it did not have the same wrapping for the hands that the boxes behind it did), I pulled out the box at the back of the shelf, made sure it was brand new, andput it in my cart (and took out a few other things to justify the cost of it!).I was anxious to hang it up as soon as I got home but once I got it unscrewed from the box, I was dismayed to find that the very flimsy hands simply didn't work. In spite of attempting to tighten the screws, they just dropped down from their sheer weight rather than work they way they're supposed to.I don't know enough about clocks to know whether you could replace the hands but that's the only way you could use this clock as an actual clock. If you want a decoration for your wall that looks like a clock but doesn't actually keep time, you can't do better than this. It's a beautiful clock and I love the jumbo size. I just need for it to tell time and it doesn't do that AT ALL. Big, big disappointment. 08/07/2010
Beautiful, but breaks easily This clock is huge and looked amazing on our wall! We couldn't believe the value as it looked similar to the $200 clocks from a different modern decor shop. HOWEVER, the minute hand on our clock broke about 1 week after we hung it up. The hand kept falling downward after reaching the 9 position. We were not able to tighten the hand back on so we exchanged it for a new one. The minute hand on this second clock was broken when we took it out of the package, so that it simply hung in the "6" position. We returned that clock as well. What a disappointment from such a beautiful clock! 05/16/2010
Cheap minute/hr hands! If you want this clock only as a display decor item, then its perfect!...BUT not if you actually want it for telling time purposes. The minute/hr hands are so brittle & made very poorly. I ended up returning it since the minute hand only seemed to stay down. Something was wrong with the tightening or adjustment of screw to hold hands. My husband tried fixing, but it was useless. It is a very large beautiful, modern clock but not does not serve its intended purpose. I then searched for another that wasnt broken at store, and there were 2 left. BOTH were broken on the hands! 04/30/2010
