Well, I had to paint the living room of my new house which is 16 x 25 with 12ft. ceilings. I started on a Wednesday night before church, and had about 35 minutes, so I thought I would give it a shot. Well, I was able to paint one wall on the long side about 3/4 done with the first coat in that amount of time. I think it went really fast. After that I wrapped the end up and covered the paint and went to church. I came back that night and worked from 9pm til about midnight, and got the whole room done with the first coat, which included some painting over a stairwell. I did have to relube/seal the endcap with petroleum jelly (as recommended) in the middle of the job. On the second coat the next night, I had more trouble with the endcap leaking, to the point that it wouldn't stay locked in position and almost lost the roller cover off of it. That would have been a big mess except that I was able to quickly put it back on so as not to drop the roller cover and the paint inside it. I got so frustrated that I decided to finish my job with a regular roller, which I found to be not nearly as frustrating. I heard there was a fix for this available from the manufacturer, so I am definitely going to inquire about that. As far as cleanup, I would say it is more difficult than just a regular roller, but not as some say that you lose all the time you saved doing it. Also have to be careful getting the petroleum jelly on your wall, as this will leave shiny spots. Also, the paint fill tube that comes with the product is meant for use on gallon cans, I was using it with a 5 gallon bucket on which it still works but it is more delicate to not lose the tube. If the fix from the manufacturer fixes the leaking problem this would be an awesome product. I would say it is average out of the box. 10/15/2012
