The top of the cabinet slides open to reveal a serving area with that is specially treated to be alcohol resistant, so spills are no big deal. The base of the cabinet features a 15-bottle wine rack in the center, which can be removed and converted to a storage area with a shelf. Above the center storage area, an easy-open drawer holds openers, coasters, wine fobs, and more. Each end of the unit has a cabinet with a wood-framed door with a beveled glass insert and two adjustable shelves. The cabinets are perfect for storing glasses, bottles of liquor, mixers, and other odds and ends.
Constructed of poplar hardwood solids and engineered wood, this cabinet has a rich, multistep ebony finish and brushed nickel hardware. Contemporary elegance for a little work I assembled the bar, with a little help, in about 2-2.5 hours. It looks great and holds a lot of bottles, which I really needed.I also added 5 internal puck lights, which I bought at [@] This took a couple more hours.I'm very pleased with the look and functionality of this bar, and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a contemporary piece. 10/10/2011
