I don&#39;t know if a size 13 feet would fit.  I have a size 6 in women which I think is a 4 in men&#39;s and there is a little bit of space left but I don&#39;t think enough for a size 13 in men, I think it has ab out 4 inches space from my feet being a size 6.

I should have purchased one of these years ago! It's better than a spa because it is in your home, you have cleaned it out as opposed to someone else just "wiping" it out, you can relax (no awkward forced conversations!) and read/eat/etc.! The set-up is very simple. Just place the basin in the kitchen sink and fill the basin to the top line with warm water, put the basin on the floor and plug it in. The water remains warm throughout the session. Place your feet on the raised massage nodules and enjoy the vibrations. Also included is a removable massage roller so you can target other areas on your feet or legs. A complimentary bag of therapeutic salts is included. This unit costs about $25 and basically pays for itself with two uses, compared to paying for the same thing at the spa.

May I introduce to you the Massaging Deep Soak Foot Spa with Heat. It is a great feeling to pamper yourself after a long day at the office, or shopping at the mall or anywhere you've been. now you can come home to total relaxation for your feet. HoMedics Thera-P spa has it all. I love that it has heat. It gives you a gentle vibration. It comes with a bonus pack of salts. If you have overworked muscles , then this is where it's heat portion helps. I also love how the massage rollers soothe my arches and soles.. the soothing heat helps to maintain the warm water temperature...If you have your own Epsom Salts you can still enjoy a rewarding soak. So if you have been wanting a way to make your feet feel better, this product will take care of you.

OH! What A Feeling......

The HoMedics Massaging Foot Spa with Heat is great after a long hard day! For a warm or hot foot soak and gentle massage put already warm/hot water to your liking in the foot spa up to the minimum/ maximum water level indicator. You can also add bath salts to the tub before adding water if you'd like. After you put your water in plug in the tub and turn it on by pushing the power button one time. The vibrations and heat will both start once you turn the power on. Note that the heater will keep the water warm but will not heat up the water. There is also a circular blue massaging node in the center of the tub. You may slide your feet back and forth over the massaging bumps on the tub as the booklet suggests to enhance your massaging experience if you'd like but I didn't find this necessary. Be very careful when dumping the water out not to pour water over the power button as this could cause damage. I found that using the unit for 30 minutes at a time was good and left feet feeling soft and relaxed. This has got to be the easiest, most cost effective way to take care of your feet, relax and de-stress. I used to love going to get a pedicure just so I could soak my feet and relax. Now I don't have to leave the house or spend any money!

Easy, Cost Effective and Very Relaxing!!

I have the worse feet ever, and have even had them operated on! I hate hate hate having my feet touched, so trying this HoMedics Foot Spa with Heat was shaping up to be quite an adventure. The directions were by themselves in a plastic bag, and easy to understand. Fill the foot spa up with water, and if you wish to add Epsom type salts, that will be OK. I had some of them around from the after Christmas sale at Walmart, so I added Dr Teal's Lavender Salts. If you don't have any right off,that is OK, for there is a nice size sample included in the box. 

Make SURE the water is hotter then you want it at first. I wrapped a towel around it, for when you take your feet out, you will need something to dry them so you don't drip on the rug. 

Fill up the spa, add your salts if you want, and plug it in. There is a lot of massaging action going on in the middle of the spa. There are some nubs on the bottom that you can rub your feet on, if you wish to do that. You can stretch out your tired toes, for I wear nearly a Size 12 shoe in Women's sizes, and I had a lot of room to stretch out. 

Yes, the water stays hot, so check it with your hand before you go putting your feet into it. 

You have to sit down and stay still to get the benefits. It is very relaxing. Do NOT jump around. 

I soaked for about 15 minutes, and my feet felt like a young persons. They even had a nice rosy glow to them! 

I have no reservations on giving this a high recommendation. Your poor feet take a beating all day, and this will be a nice treat for you and your feet after a tough day.

IT CAME IN A BOX INSIDE A BOX FROM HOMEDICS WITH NO EXTRA PACKAGING, I THOUGHT WHY BOTHER WITH THE EXTRA BOX. THIS PRODUCT IS SIMPLE TO USE AND DOES NOT REQUIRE A WHOLE LOT OF EFFORT. YOU SIMPLY PUT IN HOT WATER TO TEMP YOU DESIRE THEN PLUG IT IN AND TURN ON THE POWER BUTTON. IT COMES WITH A SAMPLE OF SALTS TO TRY OR YOU CAN USE EPSON SALTS ETC WITH IT, IT WONT DAMAGE THE MASSAGER. IT COMES WITH A SPLASH GUARD INSTALLED AND HAS KIND OF A POUR SPOUT THROUGH IT. IT ALSO INCLUDES A SMALL REMOVEABLE FOOT MASSAGE ROLLER IT DON'T SEEM LIKE MUCH BUT IT DOES WELL LEFT ATTACHED OR USED BY HAND. THE WITH HEAT PART DOES NOT IMPRESS ME IT KEEPS THE WATER MORE LUKEWARM, COOLER THAN I WOULD LIKE BUT IT DOES MAINTAIN. AND WHEN YOU TURN ON THE POWER BUTTON YOU GET THE HEAT AND VIBRATE NO OPTION OF JUST HEAT. THE BOTTOM HAS RAISED NODES TO HELP MASSAGE YOUR FEET. SEEMS LIKE A OVERALL VERY GOOD PRODUCT

SIMPLE TO USE

The first thing I thought, when I opened the HoMedics Massaging Foot Spa with Heat, was that the foot spa is nice and deep. I've had other foot spas, but they were fairly shallow and so splashed water all over, if I moved my feet. No problem, with this foot spa, plus the water stayed nice and warm, the entire time I was using it. The bottom of the foot spa has raised nodes, which are to massage your feet, by rubbing your feet over them. I found that they tickled, at first, and then, once I had been in the spa a while, they felt a bit prickly. The spa vibrates, so just sitting, with my feet against the nodes, was sufficient. There is also a center massage roller, but it is really too small. I think I actually would have preferred rollers, on the bottom, to massage my feet, instead of the raised nodes. However the vibration is nice and relaxing. The spa relaxed all up my legs, too, not just my feet. It came with a packet of Epsom salts and I also added a drop of lavender essential oil, which made the experience extra pleasant. The spa is very easy to use and large enough so that I was able to use my pumice, to easily remove rough skin. I was then able to give myself a nice pedicure. All in all, my feet were soothed and smoothed. I would recommend the foot spa, to others, who would like to soothe sore feet and relax - or just give themselves a nice pedicure, at home.

Soothes and Smooths

When I received this Foot Spa, I couldn't wait to try it. My feet were in dire need of some TLC. 
The tub is deep enough to submerge both feet entirely. The recommendation is to plug in, fill with warm water to the fill line, push the start button once and put your feet in. I would recommend filling below the line so the water doesn't go over, due to the addition of your feet.
The water should be warm going in because the unit doesn't heat the water, but maintains the warmth.
There is a good vibration and that felt good. The massaging, however, is up to you. You have to run your feet over the nodes in the bottom of the tub to get any massage. There is a small center roller that can be used, but I found it awkward to use and didn't really see a benefit.
The unit comes with a complimentary packet of salts. There is a small booklet with full directions and cautions for use.
The soak felt nice and with the vibration, was very relaxing. Having to rub your feet over the nodes takes away some of the pleasure. I didn't think the heat was maintained, however. After 20 minutes, it was much cooler. For the price, it was good for relaxation with the vibration. As a massager, not so much.

Relaxing

I was excited to try the Ho-Medics foot spa since as I've gotten older, my feet are often very tired and ache a lot in the evenings. This sounded like the perfect way to end the day. 

Directions say to fill the small tub to the fill line with water already at a temperature that is comfortable for you. The unit does keep the water warm for about 20 minutes but it does NOT heat the water for you. I'd caution that the water level should be slightly below that fill line so as to allow room for your feet. The unit also has a “vibrating” feature that I feared might be too loud, however, once it was activated it was not bothersome at all and certainly did not shake my floors as the similar one I had years ago did. Adding Epsom salts or some other bath salts to the water is also mentioned and in fact, there is a sample packet included with the product.

Sad to say, but I've learned this product is NOT for me with my “tender” feet which never go barefoot. The foot spa is described as having “Massage rollers that target sore arches and soles “ but watch out. These "rollers" are actually a foot sized foot shaped pattern of small hard plastic “raised dots” on the floor of the spa with the instructions advising you to “roll your feet” over these. I found this quite unpleasant. It did not feel good to me at all. So I finally placed a small towel over each foot area and simply soaked my feet in the warm vibrating water for a while. The idea is great and I'm sure the foot bath spa massage rollers are nice for folks who have tougher skin on the soles of their feet. I tried to get a close up photo of this area but my camera just couldn't pick up the image clearly enough to show the dots.

Because of this issue I can only give the product a 3 star rating. Be sure the soles of your feet can handle the pressure from those “Massage Rollers” before you buy this one.

We All Live and Learn .......

The features I liked about the spa are 1. The shield guard is a pretty transparent blue, it's removable, and when emptying the basin, it neatly channels all of the water out through the center spout. 2. It's electric, so it has a lot of power to whirl and vibrate the water. 3. The basin is deep, and 4. Any efforts it takes in keeping the water warm longer. That being said, I can't say that it makes a good foot spa, but it would make a great washtub for hand-washables. The gentle detergents would probably be kinder to it and the human skin, than abrasive bath salts. The floor of the tub, the heater and the power button are the reasons why I gave it a low rating. I will explain later as I continue with my review. I'm probably stating the obvious, but if you intend to use a foot spa, you're going to need a large thick towel and clean feet before you use them. According to the warranty on this one, you're not allowed to use harsh abrasives or chemicals to clean this appliance. Ironic it is, that they allow bath salts. After trying it out, I came to the conclusion that it wasn't good for much as a foot spa. The removable massage roller is there more for looks rather than to serve the user. It's not big enough to make a difference in massaging your foot. If you leave it at it's station, you don't have room to maneuver, without getting the power button wet, which is taboo, according to the manual. Removing the massage roller and using it manually doesn't contribute to a luxurious feeling. The spikes on the bottom of the basin are hard plastic not a soft rubber. It doesn't feel bad at first. It became uncomfortable for me after ten minutes while the vibration was going on. After about a half-hour, my feet were getting itchy. (This test was without the bath salts.) The spikes then became a convenient scratching post, but water splashed out while I was doing that. After that episode, my feet were ready for a flat warm surface. There is no way to turn off the vibration and keep the heat element going, because the heat and the vibration come from the same power button. When the vibrating function is on, it makes a noticeably low to medium sound level. It was tolerable for a little while, but because it is a consistent rhythm, it became annoying. I didn't really get much out of the vibrating motion. My feet were going numb so I shut it off. After 20 minutes or so, my water was a little cold. The heating element is pretty useless. I don't know why they are so concerned with the unit burning anyone. I waited a long time for the heater to bring my water temperature back up, but it never got up to a decent temperature. You have to fill the basin with the desired temperature from the faucet. With it's poor ability to heat water, it makes me think that the heat comes from the motor of the vibrating machine rather than from a separate heating element. And the spikes serve more as protection for your feet, rather than from some nonexistent massaging ability. I don't think the heating system is a malfunction, because the manual says that it is incapable of heating a cold tub of water. The internal measurements of the basin are different at each end of the tub. By the toe section, it is 5 1/8 inches H x 10 inches W, and by the heel end, it measures 4 5/8 inches H x 8 1/2 inches W. The basin looks deep, but you're only supposed to fill it 2 ½ inches high with water. That is almost half full before adding your feet. The water came to my ankles. The maximum fill line is the same color as the basin and is hard to see. But thankfully, you can see and feel the boundary line because it is protruding a little on the inside of the basin. The unit is 120V, 60Hz, 55W and it's made in China, if that's important. It's fairly lightweight and the cord is 7 feet, plus 1 inch long. The foot spa comes with a complimentary 1.06 oz. packet of soothing salts (sodium chloride). I used the foot spa both with and without the bath salts, provided. I think the salts make the water softer and my toenails cleaner. But after a short time, my skin was so irritated that I had to take them out of the water and dump the contents of the basin. With the salt and the vibration, I think it took off some of my skin. I didn't experience this the first time with only water. The only warning it says on the packet, is that if you have a history of high blood pressure or are pregnant, to consult a doctor before using the spa with the salts in them. It also said that people with diabetes should not soak their feet in hot or warm water. That I did not know. But as far as I know, I don't have those conditions. For cleaning the device, you can use a mild cleaning agent and a soft cloth. I liked their idea of storing the unit back in its box. I store most of my appliances that way and it makes my storage room look clean and organized. Obviously if they wanted to improve on this model of foot spa, they could, 1. Make the bottom of the tub, a smooth flat surface or a longer basin with smooth large rolling balls for the soles of the feet. 2. Improve the heating feature and make a separate control button for 2-3 levels of heat that actually heat the water. 3. A separate button for the vibration, and 4. A sealed protective cap to protect the power and function buttons. If these changes were in place, it would make a wonderful foot spa.

Needs Modifications

I was very happy to receive this Homedic Deep Soak Foot Spa with Heat.This is such a great tool for preparing your feet for a pedicure at home.
It's very easy to use. I filled the tub with warm water to the line, then added the packet of Epson Salt that came with it. After 10 minutes the water was too cool, it seems like there is no heat. The instructions say that it doesn't heat up cold water, just keeps warm water you add warm. So I dumped out the water. This time I put the hottest water in the tub that my feet could stand. I put in some of my own Epson salt, and I was ready to try again. I put a towel on the floor underneath the unit, in case of any spills.
I turned on the unit and soaked my feet. There is just a gentle vibration, enough to relax tired muscles. It was relaxing. 
After about 15 minutes, the water was cool. I really don't feel the 'heat' feature works well at all. I really think this is something they need to improve, which is why I only gave this 2 stars! Warmer water would have made my feet more softer, and it would have been more soothing for my muscles.
On the unit there is a removable massage roller attachment. You can rub your arches and soles against this for a little massage. This too wasn't impressive.
After 20 minutes, I turned off the unit. I took a pumice stone and started scrubbing off the roughness on my heels of my feet. The soak did soften the skin, so it was so much easier to soften the heels. It also loosens up the cuticles, to get your toes ready for polish!
All in all if you want a deep soak for your feet, this is good.
