    Proper assembly required!! I bought this item because it matched with my table very well. Even though there were many bad reviews about this item, but I thought lets give it a try and Ill return it if I don't like it.Despite what many people complain about, I didn't find the motor too noisy but I was very disappointed with the fact that you could not hear the water when you assemble the rocks according to the instruction book. I was considering returning the item but that same evening, out of boredom, I started playing with the placement of the rocks. I noticed the more rocks I placed on the three metal plates, specially if you place the heavier rocks towards the edge from where water is supposed to fall down to the other plate and thus block the water so that it collects into each plate a little, before falling, then the water sound is significantly more audible.Now with the new rock arrangement the sound from this cute little fountain is perfect and I am very very satisfied with the product. And it matches with my black table top too. 08/26/2009
    Great buy for the price This is exactly what I've been looking for in a tabletop fountain. Inexpensive, sleek, and very contemporary. It was easy to assemble, and the reflective lighting effect it creates on surrounding walls is pleasing to the eye. Mind you this isn't a top of the line fountain. You are paying for plastic construction. However, it does not look overwhelmingly cheap like many plastic fountains do. Overall excellent value for the price. 07/21/2007
    Great Design I just bought this fountain and I'm very pleased with it. It has a Zen/contemporary design that was well-thought out BUT you have to understand it's very small in size. I'm putting it in my bathroom which has a spa feeling and it looks wonderful.The motor is quiet and the lights and water sound are just enough. For the price point you're getting all plastic components but they've done a great job with the finishes and real stones. As long as you're OK with its size, you'll love it. 04/19/2008
    Absolutely wonderful ! This fountain is so easy to assemble & operate. It looks so cool with the 2 little lights that reflect off the trickling water. The photo doesn't do justice. It's perfect for dining table or coffee table. Even desk (if you don't have kitties). I had purchased it for my pet mynah but it scared her a little so I took it out & placed it on our dining table. For the price, you will absolutely love it! 08/12/2007
