Rated 5 out of 5★ by Livin4Adv Best buy for dual sport bike Not sure why one of the reviewers says Walmart's description is mis-leading, it clearly suggests 300 lbs is the maximum weight for this carrier. It is as advertised--a well built carrier for a smaller bike. This is manufacturered by Masterbuilt and was easy to put together per excellent instructions. All metal is powder coated.I had won a bid on a ebay motorcycle and needed a quick solution to bringing it cross country without dragging a trailer. Priced out similar hitch carriers but realized that because my bike was in the 200lb range I didn't need to spend a bunch of money for equipment overbuilt for my application. This hitch was a fraction of the others on the market and is designed for a lighter bike. I ordered it on-line the night before I left and it was in stock at a Walmart along the way. I ended up talking to the manager at the store and he arrange for a pickup early the next morning (normally they can't release on-line from the night before until 10 AM). Anyway everything work well and I was on my way at 7:30 AM.Only unsure of whether this carrier would wabble because it didn't have means to tighten the hitch like others on the market. I put the carrier together in a hotel parking lot the first night and arrived the next day to load my new dual sport bike. I like the fact that it allows you to pin one wheel into the frame--I wrapped the other one with a rubber strap. I used two straps to the handle bars with designed anchor points. I also hooked a strap from the safety chain holes in my hitch through the end of the carrier on each side and up to the bike for a very secure ride. I never felt the bike on the back of my truck and I arrived without issue. This is the best carrier on the market and the best value. The managers at Walmart made for a seemless purchase with limited lead time. 11/26/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by LARGEUHNST Best thing since sliced bread for the dirt bike world. No hassles with a trailer as long as you just need to haul one bike. 08/26/2013

Rated 1 out of 5★ by XT250 The online ads overstate the weight limit. The Walmart online ad says it holds a maximum weight of 500 pounds. On the Hitch-Haul box it was packaged in it says the maximum wieght it can hold is only 300 pounds. It appears this same carrier is sold online under different names and the ads all say 500 pounds maximum weight. I saw the same carrier in stock at Cabela's and it said 300 pounds maximum weight on the box. I ordered the carrier online and had it shipped to the store. When I saw the weight limit on the box I did not accept it and received a refund. The Walmart employees were very apologetic and helpful. 09/05/2013
Rated 4 out of 5★ by TheBoMan Great value for the price. I'm not sure what most would expect for around $100, but this is a well-designed, practical and functional carrier for a 300lb capacity carrier. The 33" rear spare on my JKU made it tight, but it also gave me more options tie-down points. I used it to haul my Honda CRF250L which slightly exceeded the recommended limit; nonetheless, I had no concern because it tied down evenly and securely.Pros: At 300lbs or less, this is plenty for years of use. The tire cradling adjustments are flexible and allow for various wheel base. Easy assembly.Cons: Would be a 5-star product if the tubing was thicker. The ramp does not stay in place securely on uneven surfaces and can be dangerous during loading and unloading. The next time I load/unload by myself, I will temporarily tape it down with duct tape.I've seen heavier-duty products, but if you've got a light load and you're smart about how you balance it and tie it down, this is all you need. 05/27/2014
Rated 1 out of 5★ by crosscountry789000 cheap and flimsy Website says these are rated to 500 lbs, the box says 300lbs...I think 200lbs is pushing it. my bike weighs 260lbs and without A LOT of additional stabilization etc this thing was like a wet noodle. If you like your bike and don't want to dump it on the interstate, spend some real money on a decent motorcycle carrier. 04/01/2014
