I needed a reasonably priced re-cycling set up for my kitchen. I purchased this in (2) different colors. They are perfect!!! Small enough to not be intrusive and with the closed lid no more oder or fly problem. 01/19/2012
LOVE this Trashcan! My household trash/recycling/aluminum/shredding is in the entryway of my home. I had a mishmash of trashcans, and it looked HORRIBLE! Finally I got fed-up with being thrifty, and committed to buying matching, functional trashcans. But I'm very picky. And shopped online for probably 5 hrs (not straight!) looking at various stores and products.I chose these because of their color (thanks to another Walmart reviewer who mentioned they were old barn red) and size. I assumed I would use them without the lids because they end up aggravating me; falling off, not closing, opening back up, etc.I could not be happier with these cans and lids! I bought three of this version and the smaller open top version for my shredding. Now my area looks nice and neat, and is barely noticed because they sit against a barnwood barn red wall!These cans open and close nicely, the bag stays put, they look great, they hold smells in, and are easy to change the bags. Great job Hefty! And now that I know the value - great price point too!I recommend a drawstring style bag, it looks nice and neat. I use the Husky brand sold at Walmart because of their quality, quantity, and price point. (Sorry Hefty!)I do wish this were a more matte finish, it is shiny, but because the color of the red is so deep - it doesn't "glow" like a true red would.Check for damages from handling. I ordered online in-store pick-up, and in the process the bottom one was thoroughly scratched and "bruised" showing white and pink stress marks about the size of a tennis ball on the corner.I promise you will not be disappointed! 12/28/2011

Terrific garbage can! I bought this garbage can 18 months ago and love it! First of all, I love the color! It matches my kitchen decor perfectly! Secondly, it's the perfect size, and I love that the lid snaps on over the garbage bag, locking it in place. And the touch-open lid is so easy, my kids have no problem opening it, and haven't since age 2.The only downfall is that the button to open the can finally broke off the other day. Time to buy another one! But I love this can so much, and it's such a great price, I'll replace it every 18 months, if I have to.I highly recommend this product!! 09/16/2011
