A lamb in wolf's clothing These chairs have some minor visual appeal and they certainly are comfortable. Just a bit more seating room than the average steel folding chair and a little more recline to the seat back.Very light in weight, but therein lies the problem. While I've seen a 280 pound person sit in these chairs, they simply don't last if chronically used by people weighing over the stated limit of 200lbs.I have (had) 8 of these chairs. 6 have failed, and all have had the same problem: the rivets that hold the seat to the chair back eventually fatigue and pop out. One side of the seat collapses and the chair is ready for the trash dump.I weigh 210 fully clothed. My roommate weighs 280. Over 6 months of use, 2 chairs have failed under my weight, and 4 have failed under my roommate's weight.If used only a couple of hours 2 or 3 times a year, these chairs may last you a lifetime even when used by people over the stated limit of 200 pounds. If used a couple of hours every day, they will fail sooner or later, the heavier the user the sooner the failure.If you need these for Thanksgiving and Christmas only, buy them. If you need them for even semi-regular use, spend the extra money and buy something more substantial. 12/17/2010
