This scale is accurate and looks great. My only complaint was that the directions to use the memory feature wasn't very clear. It says to step on the upper right corner to turn it on then to step again for the memory function to appear. In reality what you have to do is step on the upper corner and keep stepping on it till the memory function appears (for person 1 or 2), if you take you foot off and reapply pressure it will error out. Hope this info helps someone who's trying to figure it out :)

The name of this scale is misleading "Oil Rubbed Bronze Scale". It is not oil rubbed nor is it Bronze! The scale has a bright chrome under-carriage with a glass top. Although I was leary of stepping on a glass plate bare footed the first time, it has proved to be strong and easy to keep clean. When I first put it on a hard floor, I thought the floor was uneven as the scale would rock slightly. It wasn't until I moved it three times before I realized the rocking was part of the mechanism that turns it on. Tap the top left or right corner, wait for the scale to zero and step on the scale. The scale has good reproduciblity and agrees well with the doctor's scale. It does have a weight limit of 330 lbs. The bright chrome reminds me to check my weight every day. The delivery of the item was the day predicted, the item was packed well and received in excellent condition. Based on my experience with this product, I highly recommend it.

I looked up lots of reviews and info about various scales. This one ended up being on sale, and had flying colors. For me so far, its held up its end. It is accurate and although it takes a bit of patience to use, the weight tracking feature is very helpful. I saw that some people ended up with a nickel/chrome color instead of the dark metal- mine is the correct color and looks very nice.

    • A. No, it won't affect the calibration. I store my scale upright and then lay it flat every week to weigh myself and there is no calibration required.

    • A. So does my 11 year old son...lol! But seriously, he wears a size 13, and even though his toes may be a little off the scale, it stills weighs accurately. I say this because it's pretty consistent with what he just weighed at the doctor.
