Fair little Wi-Fi receiver I expected more after reading a review of this antenna. Almost worthless inside the house unless you have an extremely strong signal, but better than other USB and network card adapters I've tried. If you can be near a window and set it outside in a weatherproof container, it works much better. Going to try a powered, USB extension to get it further from the house and see how that works. Quite pricey for what little you get, but easy to setup software and to use. 01/25/2009
I won't say its much stronger but at least its directional. That gives me the control to point at an area I want. Generally a good product. For newer Mac leopard OS user, may encounter problems after installation, such as unable to detect device, korner panic or error message. Newer Mac runs on 64bit and the Hawking runs on 32bit. To solve the problem, after driver installation, restart the Mac with buttons 3 and 2 depress. Hold both buttons until the OS startup. This will enable the OS to startup at 32bit. Then connect the Hawking adapter, it shd detect the device. 07/23/2011

Useless I bought this product because I wanted to increase the signal strength coming from the library, just a block away from home. It turns out that I barely gained one signal bar, going from 2 to 3 bars. Given the price of this item, I suggest looking for another alternative, this product is useless. The internal wirless adapter of my computer has similar strength, making this product worthless. 01/20/2010
