Terrible tank for 2 bettas. The divider is a mess without substrate (gravel, etc). Bettas can easily slide right through the edge as it is not a snug fit. The water stretches out the tank which makes the gap even worse. The lid is difficult to manage, the black plastic lid liner is terrible and as mentioned the water makes the tank stretch outward causing the black plastic lid to not fit properly. You have to squeeze the sides a bit to put the lid on (my tank was only filled 3/4ths). If you intend on having filters or any type of heater, there is no place for the wires to hang out. You could put it through the tank opening but it makes the clear plastic lid covering to not fit. It feels very flimsy and cannot handle any kind of rough housing or bumping as it will scratch and possibly even crack. 10/18/2011
Not recommended First of all, the package puts an emphasis on the Betta divider. However, the divider doesn't even fit in the tank. I was able to cram it about halfway into the tank and then gave up because it scratched the tank and wouldn't go in anyway. Besides, the tank really doesn't seem big enough for two Bettas. I threw away the divider.Next, the light worked great and the change of colors is pretty cool, but the lid with the light doesn't have any openings that could be used for putting in heaters or filters. If you're keeping a Betta, you need a heater. If you're keeping any fish, you need a filter. I managed to get a filter in there anyway, but since there's no room for the filter, I had to take out some of the water to make it work. The tank says it is 2.5, but after all the changes, I'm probably at 2 gallons. 08/22/2011
Would change a few things The divider is not sturdy at all. I am afraid my bettas will get to each other so I have a ton of rocks on either side to hold it up. If you take the lid off; be ready to grab a fish because the wall falls over. I have the clear top rigged so I can lift it up with a paper clip and feed them because it is hard to get off otherwise and I certainly don't want to take a chance of taking off the whole lid unless I have to. Not worth the money but I do still enjoy watching them. Not much out there that is roomy for two betta's separtated. 11/03/2010
BETTA FISH TANK A cute fish tank, esp if you have Bettas and they can't be in together. We assumed we got a filter system with it, but it's just the tank. No big deal since Bettas can live in any kind of water. Good for the price & suites are needs. 10/21/2010
