Not bad for the money I bought this to serve as a replacement for our VCR and record TV's shows from our satellite box. Can't seem to find a generic DVR anymore without paying a monthly fee, which I refuse to do.This works well in standard definition (480i) using a composite output from the satellite box. The WinTV software is pretty nice and you can burn the video files to a DVD for viewing in your DVD player.I cannot attest to how well the tuner works since we get no over-the-air signal where we live. 02/22/2010
TV Card for your computer This card replaces a Hauppauge PVR-150 I bought in 2005. I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and the PVR-150 drivers would not work well in Win-7 64-bit operation. I use a set top box for the TV signal and the IR blaster works great for selecting the channel and program I want to record.The card comes with several programs for finding and scheduling PVR sessions. I use Titan-TV, which allows me to select a TV program and record it in 2 clicks.The old software had separate scheduler and TV apps, which I prefer. It's a bit of a pain to have to open the TV app to open the scheduler.This card performs well and captures a very clear picture from the cable box's analog feed. I haven't used it to view or record over the air signal, so I can't comment on that. I also use it to capture VHS output from a VCR using the composite video connector and the TV card's audio input. It does this task very well.The PVR-150 didn't die; I installed it in my old computer running Windows XP. I can record a TV program running on the TV in the living room and a different TV show on my other computer.I am happy with my purchase and would buy another if the need arose. I also recommend this card to those consumers that want some flexibility in recording TV shows. 12/25/2011
