Rated 2 out of 5★ by amydan27 Cannot play as female character! Bought this game because I really enjoyed the original on Game Cube. I found out, after I bought the Wii version, that they deleted the option to play as a female. Other than that the game is still the way I remember and very fun. Just realize going into it that you must play as the boy character. 06/28/2012
Rated 1 out of 5★ by throughxherxeyes Lucky for me, I bought this in store and didn't pay as much for it. I was completely disappointed. As previously stated you are stuck as a male and honestly the game play is slow and boring. 10/22/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by StarsonFire An Old Game Remade for the Wii This particular Harvest Moon game was originally for the GameCube, but was remade to be able to be played on the Wii! There have been a few changes the biggest two being the game controls (must have a nunchuk, but otherwise if you're are used to using the wii remote and nunchuk you'll be fine) and that they took out the option to play as a girl. I'm not sure why there are angry reviews about not being able to play as a girl. You can tell from any Harvest Moon box cover what genders are available. If there is a girl and boy in the foreground, you can play both. Only a boy (like this cover), just a boy is playable. I don't know why that aspect was changed, but I do wish they had left it in.Everything else is what you remember from most other Harvest Moon games. Farming different plants per season, raising animals, mining caves, fishing, getting married, going to the festivals, mini games and of course collecting the magical melodies (there are 100 total-so it will take awhile. This game will not be completed in a short amount of time) to return the harvest goddess to her original state. 03/21/2014
