In my opinion...NO. The fleas aren't fazed by this collar. Maybe the strength of it is too weak. I have used this collar on my dog so I know this to be true. Frontline is the best of the best. If you can't afford it at least get the HARTZ liquid drops..

No, do not buy any hartz product. I bought these collars along with hartz ultra guard plus shampoo, spray and carpet powder. They did nothing. The fleas actually increased on my dogs after putting these collars on them and they seemed to enjoy swimming in the bubbles of the shampoo. Enforcer spray or Bengal flea spray actually work. The Bengal has a better can that is easier to spray.

Tee with puppy&#39;s I would suggest to call your vet and make sure it wont harm the puppy&#39;s.

They have a puppy collar! Definitely wash him with Dawn. That is completely safe to use and will kill all the fleas on him. Also, you can take him to the vet and see if you can get an oral preventive.

Really good product works well you have to wipe down the collar but rebusts the smell which stops bugs!

It was easy to fit the collar around my dogs neck. She has not tried to get it off. The price is affordable. Directions are easy to understand.
Another good feature is being able to order it online. When you are unable to go to the market it is good to know that you can get what you need delivered to your home

Satisfaction with service.

This brand has a lot of really well-priced products, and they seem to be of reasonable quality for the price you pay. Compared to the flashier gray reflective version, I think this plain white one is much more attractive and pleasing to the eye. But for some reason the collar has had a strong coconut shampoo/conditioner smell since I took it out of the bag and it seems to have gotten stronger since. I'm actually shocked how the smell has held up through multiple walks, nights in his crate, etc. It will fill up a room and it's a little bit of an annoying smell. Solid collar otherwise, though I would have preferred the buckle to be white to match the rest of the collar.

The Hearts ultra guard plus is the best for your money cost varies a little but you can pick one up 5.00 to 6.00 dollars there a 7 month flea an tick collar kills the larvae, eggs just like collars you pay 20 to 50 dollars for they only last 7 months. If you read the active ingredients the hearts plus has the same exact ingredients. Your saving 30 to 40 dollars. I want only the best for my Dog but sometimes the best is a box it comes In. Take your time and read the box and see for yourself. The money left over buy your pet treats or chew toys. They also have one with a reflection strip on it if your pet's outside at night it's not but a few bucks more and it glows in the dark good to from a nice distance. Take care of your pets they do it for you.

Flea & Tick Collar Works Great!

HARTZ ULTRA GUARD PLUS  FLEA AND TICK COLLAR really works miracles!!  My 12 year old dog, Scrappy, was scratching himself raw from flea allergies and so I couldn't apply the topical medicine because his back was raw from itching. I don't leave a collar on him, so I was hesitant to try a flea collar, and the price was so inexpensive that I feared it wouldn't work--but one day after wearing his collar, he no longer chews on himself and is starting to get a little more pep in his step again!  HARTZ ULTRA GUARD PLUS  FLEA AND TICK COLLAR REALLY WORKS!!!  And the price is fantastic!! A wonderful product for pet lovers on a budget like I am.  Scrappy and I are so happy to have found this product!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in the country and my beagle loves to run in the woods constantly...I put the Ultra Guard Pro flea & tick collar on her a few days ago...and I like that you can cut it to fit perfectly.  I also like the way its so easy to use...NO mess and no monthly drippy reapplications.  I also LOVE that it is REFLECTIVE!!  She's easy to spot!!  She's only had it on for a few days but NO scratching !!  I'm very happy with the collar so far and would recommend it!

Got these for my Great Dane and Collie. Seems to keep the fleas off. Collie ended up with one tick so far (collars have been on for 3 weeks). But seems to work pretty good especially for the price. Satisfied with it so far in May in Tennessee.

Not Bad

I purchased for my 3 dogs, put a brand new colar on right after a bath with flea shampoo, within a week the dogs were all covered with fleas again, so bad that I sat down and picked over 20 fleas off of each dog. I am very disappointed with this but then again you get what you pay for.  Yes I have done all I  can to rid the fleas in the house, the problem is living in an apartment with neighbors who have a heavy flea infestation that trickles into our little private yard, fleas don't stay on their side of the fence very well.

Does not even work for one week.
