Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows I was so excited to get my hands on a copy of this, I waited on the curb with about 100 other loyal fans. This book kept me very interested all the way through, and I never grew tired of it! 03/30/2009

Walmart Woes and JKRowling I would not have ordered this book from Walmart.com but would have bought it at the retail store a few blocks from my office had not the employee there told me the paperback was not in stock. A few hours after I ordered online and agreed to pay shipping charges and wait a week or more for delivery, I was at my local store for something else and there was the book I just ordered for a couple of dollars less than I actually paid and immediately available. This is the second time that an employee at this store has told me an item wasn't available instead of bothering to look and the first item was a color printer worth about $100. The printer was there all along, after I used my time to call several other stores to try to locate one. I decided just to check before driving to a store further away and - there it was !As to the Potter Book, it arrived in due course a week or so later. I had already read it and bought it just to complete the set. I originally loved this series when it was a children's fantasy and lots of fun, but this last book was far too dark and there was far too much death. A lot of unnecessary killing of characters we knew and loved occurred.Apparently J K Rowling's own depression over the death of a family member spilled over into the series, especially in this last book. After all the violence and death, there is a nice ending but only a few characters left to enjoy it. 08/01/2009
