Rated 4 out of 5 by monarchmommy You get a lot for the price! The Pros: I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and features of this seat. The one touch height adjusting harness is great. I moved it up and down a lot and had no twisting issues. Recline adjust so you get a better fit to your car's seat. Easily adjustable crotch buckle - much better than the Nautilus! Unlike a previous reviewer, I found the length of this buckle to be very generous, I think it's longer than Nautilus. My daughter thought the padding was better than many other seats and after looking under a lot of covers, I have to agree. The seatbelt guide for booster mode allows the seat belt to slide smoothly, so it retracts easily if she wiggles. The biggest plus for me was the width!!! At 17.5" wide it is one of the narrowest seats of it's type, but has plenty of width for little ones. This feature is actually why I'm keeping the seat as I have a 2009 Explorer that has a very narrow drivers side backseat, where this carseat has to go.The cons: I was disappointed to find that the straps are too short to use on my daughter in harness mode with the headrest at it's highest level. I was hoping to keep my 6 year old in a harness for at least another year, but the straps were too snug. She is average height and weight at 48" and 49lbs. She was wearing bulky clothing #it's winter# so we might have been able to use it for a couple months if the weather was warmer. I found it difficult to get a tight fit using a seatbelt to secure the seat. I did not use a locking clip, just an auto locking belt, so maybe that would help. Conclusion: I'm keeping this seat to use as a booster. I like that it has latch to keep it in place, the seat belt guides work well in my car and the width is perfect for us. 02/13/2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by 3BoysMamaTX OK seat with a few problems. I purchased this seat yesterday for my son who is a big boy. He's 22 months old and weighs 39 pounds. I did quite a bit of looking for a harness seat that would accomodate him for another 2 years until he is mature enough for a booster and I had high hopes for this seat since it is $40 less than my other choice. I will be returning it today. My main reason for returning is that the crotch strap is way too short. The buckle sits right between his legs now and will only become more uncomfortable as he grows. That is really not a fault with the seat, more fault of the store. There was not a model on display in the store. If there had been one on display, I could have seen first hand how the seat fit my son and I would not have made the purchase. In addition, there are a few things which do not nessesarily make this a bad seat, just annoying.1. The long pin that connects the back to the seat base is hard to slide through. The snap that secures the cover is in the way and catches on the head of the pin. I had to remove the base of the snap (luckily it removes easily with a screw) in order to insert, and subsequently remove, the pin.2. The seat would have to be completely dis-assembled in order to remove the cover for washing. A big pain.3. A reclining feature is listed. This is only for proper installation in the car, not for the comfort of the child. Not a big problem, just a little false advertising in my opinion. The seat does have nice padding in the seat, which would make it comfortable. The cup holder is a nice feature as well, especially since it can installed in either arm rest. Also, it comes with strap covers which make the straps more comfortable against the neck. This seat may work for some children, smaller ones, but it doesn't for me. 01/30/2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by NOCDNEVEL great carseat my little one year old girl is very tiny. I love the shoulder strap cushion. it isn't to big and bulky and still keeps her head from falling over when shes asleep. its not as tight as i would like it since our vehicle doesnt have anchors. but it doesnt move or anything. We put her in a few of the display carseats to see which one she liked and she kept trying to crawl back to this one. 03/06/2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by macchiatto Great deal on seats that will last for years We just installed and started using these seats, but so far so good! We bought them for our twin boys who are almost 4.5. The seats weren't too hard to put together and very easy to install with LATCH. The top harness slots are 18.5" which means they will last a long time as harnessed boosters, and from what I hear they will last a long time after that as high-back and then backless boosters. GREAT value for the money, and I love how narrow these seats are! I think they are a good option if you need to fit 3 across. The cup holders' shape is a little annoying (my boys have the Thermos Funtainer water bottles and they get stuck) but that's the only minor issue so far. 05/09/2013
