So finally when I ran out of my Cover Girl eyeliner pen I dashed over to the Hard Candy selection and grabbed the last bottle. I dance and am also in color guard so makeup is an important part of me and sadly after using this product a few times, I'm a little disappointed. For starters, I was hoping the liquid eyeliner wouldn't be a brush, but a pen tip. then I noticed that the rod gets covered in more eyeliner than the bristles. Not only this, but this is just too messy to deal with during the morning school rush. On the other hand the mascara formula is flawless! It comes out evenly and so smooth. So Hard Candy, if you're reading this, maybe you should change some things around. 04/12/2012

This mascara was recommended as an editor's pick in a fashion and beauty magazine as their favorite waterproof mascara because it didn't flake or smudge. And when I saw that the cap actually contained liquid liner I thought the 2-for-1 deal couldn't be better!. So, naturally I tried it. First of all the brush is ridiculous because it doesn't take any excess mascara off as you pull it out. Therefore you are left with goops of mascara to deal with. And it smudges - easily. I had raccoon eyes within minutes.And who thought to sell waterproof mascara with non-waterproof eyeliner? What would be the point of that? The liner took forever to dry so of course it transferred to my upper eyelid. Who has time to apply liner and then sit for several minutes with their eyes closed while it dries?Luckily, Wal-Mart has fantastic customer service and even though I bought this item online and used it (once), they gladly accepted my return. They even credited back my shipping costs.Altough the price on this item makes it tempting to buy (especially since you get mascara and eye liner in one tube) do not waste your time or money. 07/06/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by TeeJee Gets the job done I used to love Hard Candy back before it was a WalMart exclusive, I find that it's lost quality in the transition, but occasionally I still go back to it to test out new colors and products as it's an inexpensive, non animal tested product. I can't complain about the quality too much though, you get what you pay for, so I have no gripes on the quality of what I am getting for the price I am paying.This product leaves a lot to be desired in terms of design and the caking on both the mascara wand and the eyeliner brush. I'd also like to say that I HATE liquid liners with the felt tip, so I was thrilled to find an inexpensive liquid liner with a brush instead of a felt tip.While I prefer the higher quality brands for my daily makeup use, what this is perfect for is to keep in your purse as a "just in case". Small and compact, it's perfect to take with you so you can leave your makeup stash at home. And it's inexpensive enough that you don't have to worry about transferring it constantly between purse and home so as to use it before it dries up.Overall, a good value, I would purchase again, just for the convenience factor. 07/06/2012

It didn't even make it an hour before I had mascara smudges on my eyelid and under my eye. It never seemed to dry and rubbed off with just a slight touch. It is not waterproof, smudgeproof, or even wearproof. Absolutely worthless. 01/30/2013
