great buy Make sure you use a non-metal spoon as the interior does scratch. This is a great slow cooker, and it is so nice to move from stove to crockpot. I use this one when I need to brown something first. A great buy. I bought one for my sister's birthday. 11/23/2011
Love the liner that you can use on the stovetop!! It works great to use to first brown your meat in the nonstick liner with a little oil and then cool it a bit and just move the whole thing onto the bottom part of the slow cooker, add rest of ingredients and turn it on and cook.That was one reason I never used my old slow cooker much was because I like to brown my meats first and it was alot of trouble to dirty two pans and have the grease spatter mess all over the stove too. Now its so easy to have that great browned meat taste and cook in just one pot! I wish that I had gotten one sooner. The only thing I do wish it had was an automatic setting to program cooking times and be able to turn itself to WARM afterwards. But is a great slowcooker and makes wonderful bbq, stew beef, veg. soup and a way to brown up to 4 lbs. of ground beef I find on sale and then can freeze the cooked meat in containers for later use for soup, spaghetti, chili and tacos! 01/09/2011
great item I just got this and have used it three times already and I am very happy with the cooker......I love the fact that I can brown my food and that I can use the insert in the oven as a roaster.....much better then the one I had before..... 12/04/2010
Great Slow Cooker! The insert goes from stovetop to slowcooker to oven. I am really pleased with the quality. It also seems to have a true 'low' and 'high' setting.This model is not programmable, but the quality of the unit and the stovetop safe insert makes up for that for me. 08/31/2010
