Cheap Ice shaver, works wonderfully Pros:It works. I bought this and used it at the party right away. It did the job as I expected in short time. I created lots of snow cones. So I think I got what I paid for. Good value. Just put ice into the container and it will take care the rest.Cons:There is no button to turn it on/off. The container where you put ice in is separated into 2 half, one half doesn't seem to shave the ice as quick as the other one. Maybe because it only turns into 1 direction. Just what I needed My mini blender pulverizes ice cubes into a snow-like consistency. For some specialty drinks I was looking for a product that would make mini ice chunks instead. The HB Icy Treats Maker does exactly that.Several other reviewers noted that this machine is loud. Frankly, I think those folks are looney. My blender, my mixer, even my can opener, is louder than the icy treat maker.For fun kids' treats like snow cones this is a great machine. The only less-than-perfect point I found is that there is virtually no difference in the two settings, i.e. slushie and snow cone produce the same consistency. 04/21/2011
Great for summertime I bought this because I am always dieting, it works great with sugar free products. Now I can have sugar free slushies while everyone else is eating ice cream. I wish the ice shavings were finer and the unit was quieter and quicker.But hey I paid 25 bucks for it not 1200. For the price I am completely satisfied I have a stand alone ice maker that makes bullett shaped ice cubes. The shaver workes great with the smallest ones. 04/13/2012
