I ORDERED THIS AND SENT IT TO MY DAUGHTER IN ANOTHER CITY.  SHE LOVES IT AND THE WAY IT STORES THE BEATERS.   HER HOUSE BURNED DOWN AND SHE LOST ALL OF HER KITCHEN APPLIANCES AND SAYS THAT THIS ONE IS BETTER THAN THE ONE SHE LOST IN THE FIRE..

I was particularly concerned about whether or not the beaters would be of good enough quality. Fortunately, they are strong and sturdy enough for beating a large pot of mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving Day. Some mixers' beaters are really small and flimsy; on one occasion, the bottom of the beaters actually broke. While these beaters are not quite as thick and heavy as those used on non-hand mixer models, these beaters are indeed strong and sturdy enough for tackling big jobs. For people who have had multiple hand mixers with different size beaters, the snap-on case is particularly helpful for keeping the correct set of beaters with its mixer. This model also includes a small French whisk that connects to the mixer. Nice!

While I've only had this Hamilton Beach hand mixer for a week, it seems to be a durable product. The mixer itself is a little larger than other models, so it takes more room in a drawer, especially with the snap-on case. I'm therefore storing it on a pantry shelf, in its upright position, instead of in a kitchen drawer. Overall, when considering the price and the product, it's definitely a good buy.

It is great for mashing potatoes and I love that you can store the attachments in the storage compartment.

When my package actually arrives then send the servy. I will be more than happy to complete the the survey. My package was scheduled to arrive ****.

I brought this to make two cakes with frosting. Both cakes were easy for this mixer to handle. While starting to make the frosting for the first cake (cake was in the oven), the mixer quit. One of the spinners would not work at all. I smelled burning and stopped using it. I let it cool down thinking it over heated but still to no avail. I would not work. I had to handle mix the rest of the frosting for the first cake, the cake mix and frosting for the second cake. This was the worst I have ever brought. I will not buy this again.

A very lousy investment.

Way to heavy for me!!!!! Also, I noticed it had a hard time mixing a thick, dense batter. My arms were so tired, I could hardly lift my arm! (I'm not real strong in the upper body, I guess). I thought I might have to drink my glass of wine through a straw!

I ordered this through Walmart.com. The model 62682RZ I got has a manufacturing defect. It has no separate off switch. The switch starts at the low speed position which means you cannot use low speed. The speeds are extremely fast which would not be suitable for many uses because it will throw eggs, flour, etc everywhere. I called Hamilton Beach as a courtesy to let them know about the defect but I will return to my Walmart store.
