Wish it had a timer but knew it didn't when I ordered it so my choice. Can't beat the price of having it mailed to the house - fantastic, Walmart! Rated 3 out of 5 by buckybadgers love it Got my first one about 8 months ago. Used it about 3 or 4 times and the heating element went bad.Called Hamilton Beach and they did send me a replacement. Figured it would take about 6 months to arrive if at all, but suprisingly it arrived in about 2 weeks. So far this one works great. Had this one about a month. 11/20/2010

It has a nice large cooking well and at last I can use a slow cooker without worrying that the food will cook too hot even set on low. I like the locking lid feature as well. No more trouble taking a hot dish to a pitch in. Over all I am glad I purchased this item. 11/05/2010
