    Great A/C Ive had it for 2 weeks and so far its great...minimal noise, cools room PERFECTLY , LOVE the 24hr timer feature so I can come home to a room thats already cool and relaxing! AND I havent even used med or high cool yet! I think Haier is one of the best brands.I had it b4 and should have stuck with what I know works. Instead I tried a Frigidaire and had to return it to walmart and wait for this one to arrive in the middle of a heat wave! It was worth the wait! The Frigidaire ran on HIGH cool and it didnt kick out HALF the cooling power of this Haier model on LOW! Im def getting my moneys worth. It was under $200 with FREE SHIPPING and you cant beat that!     Great for small house. I have a small one level home and I bought this hoping to cool the whole house. It worked. I have it in the office's window with a floor fan at the entrance to blow the cold air from the room to the rest of the house. On med speed set for 65 degrees on a 90 degree day like to day I am comfortable in the whole house. The remote works through the wall too so that is a bonus!Only one complaint. My windows and sills are old so the AC unit did not fit properly. If I installed it like the directions said the AC unit was not tilted back enough to allow for proper drainage. So I had to rig it just a bit to make sure the unit tilted and I still was able to secure the unit so no one could open the window. 07/29/2011
    poor product, poor Haier customer service July 27, 2010 I purchased this model from my local Walmart. It worked fine but being in Wisconsin it was only used about a month and a half (usually by mid September we are wanting to turn on the heat). This year we had some early hot weather in June and we needed to start using it again. Three days after we put the unit in the window the temperature reached 100 degrees! The next day when I came home from work it was 90 degrees outside and the temperature on the unit displayed 86 degrees. It was not cooling! I found my receipt and realized it was still under warranty so I contacted the Haier company. The operator informed me I had a faulty unit and advised me to send in part of the cord from the unit with the tags attached, the sticker from the unit displaying the model and serial number and a check for 14.99.She told me to send the requested information UPS or FEDEX so i could track the packege. I then went straight to my local UPS store only to realize the operator only gave me a PO BOX to send the info to. I was then forced to send it priority mail which cannot be tracked. A week later I called the Haier company to check on my return and they had not received it yet. I gave them a few more days and called again. The operator told me I should have sent the info FED EX or UPS. I tried explaining to her that with only a PO BOX I could not send it that way but had to send it thru the mail. After arguing with her I was finally put in contact with a supervisor who in turn told me the same info " You should have sent it FED EX or UPS." I asked to speak to someone with more authority and was told he was busy. However he did call me back the next day only to tell me the same thing as the other operators. I informed him they are giving out incorrect information as you cannot send a package FED EX or UPS to a PO BOX! He then told me they have two PO boxes and they are having some trouble with the packages arriving as they seem to be bouncing back and forth between the two. I was then instructed to call the post office to see if they could intercept my package and send it back to me. At this point I am irate and tell him that is his job and if I dont get some real customer service I will file a complaint with the BBB. He told me he would check into the problem and call me back the next day. 2 days later he had not called me back so I again called the Haier company and was informed my new air conditioner was on its way. As of this date my check for 14.99 still ahs not been cashed so I am guessing they have never received my package......Now, as for the new unit.....We have now been using it for about 2 weeks. It is cooling but it is also spitting water out of the front of the unit into the room. The instruction manual tells you to make sure the unit has a slight tilt backwards to insure proper drainage and we have done this but it still spits. We literally take the unit out of the window on a daily basis and tip it backwards to drain some of the water out so it quits for a while. I again called the company looking for a solution to the problem and the operator told me the unit is not meant to drain, that the water just evaporates out. So how water evaporate out of the unit if the realtive humidity outside is 80%??????????? And also, when it rains, how is the rain supposed to drain out of the unit that gets in there as there is a grate on the top of the unit that the rain can easily get into. When I asked for a supervisor I was hung up on.Morale of the story... Do not but Haier products as it sounds like their products are faulty.Oh and I did look them up on the BBB website and they are given a F rating. Good luck! 07/19/2011
    DO NOT BUY!!!!!! this unit does not drain water well, ( or at all) it was installed correctly and within a week inside the case turned into a minature swamp,The mosquito breeding was horrendous. The room filled up with mosquitos at night and we were bitten numerous timesWe took the case off the unit and it was packed with dead insects and water, and the smell was really foul. DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT. 07/21/2011
