The instructions make it difficult to calculate out correct amounts for popup pools of 10 or 12 feet. Had a 10 foot pool previously and it was a disaster. Now we have a 12 foot popup and hoping to have a better experience. Our 12x30 pool states in their specs, it's a 1,586 gallon pool, however using a calculator, it tells us its around 1700 gallons (subtracting 6" for the air ring it's probably more like the 1586 stated). Why not list "per 1,000 gallons - use X-ammount of product"? I know there's the 10,000 gallon listed everywhere, and then divide by 10, but really, why not make it easier for people? Talking 1-2lbs per 10,000 gallons, means a ton of converting and calculations. Perhaps put a conversion tool on HTH's website for each product? Make people want to buy your product over a competitors.

    • A. Our HTH® 1” Chlorinating Tablets are best used in pools of 2500 gallons or more to keep from over chlorinating the pool water. We would recommend using the HTH® Super Chlorinating Granules if your pool is less than 2500 gallons. With the granules you can better control the amount of chlorine added to the pool water in order to maintain a 1-4 ppm chlorine reading. For an exact dosage of how much you should use for your pool size you can chat with us at www.hthpools.com or call 866-484-7665, 8:00 am -10:00 pm, est. every day.
