HP Steel Gray 17.3" Pavilion DV7-6C20US Laptop PC with AMD Quad-Core A8-3520M Accelerated Processor and Windows 7 Home Premium 4 5 4 4
Not what it says it is!! Bought this computer expecting to get exactly what it stated was in it. After receiving it within a hour I checked what the computer was within Windows and it said it was a 160ghz. computer. The stats online said it was a 250ghz. computer. Decided to take the computer back and got another one. Since then and after sending a complaint to Walmart I was called by a HP tech. He said it should have stated 160ghz to 250ghz with Turbo Boost. He also stated that this was what was listed at the HP site for that computer, but when I checked I could not find it on their site at all. I also checked numerous other places that sell computers and not one of them stated anything like the HP tech told me. All places only stated 250ghz. etc; nothing about turbo boost on any computers they sell. I did buy another HP computer from Walmart and after setting it up the first thing I checked were the specs and they were exactly what they were suppose to be, 250ghz. In all honesty this computer (the one I took back) was not that bad or slow, but I was not happy at all with a 160ghz computer that was suppose to be a 250ghz. I don't blame Walmart for this. This is strictly HP's fault. It has since been changed online at Walmart to read "AMD Quad-Core A8-3520M accelerated processor2.5GHz/1.6GHz VISION Technology"! Why anybody would buy one not knowing exactly what they were going to get does not make sense to me. There is still a problem because if you scroll down to here, "To see the manufacturer's specifications for this product, click here", they are not even showing the correct Laptop. The one showing here is a "Pavilion dv6-6c53cl Entertainment Notebook PC!Totally incorrect!!! I would suggest bypassing this Laptop, "HP Steel Gray 17.3" Pavilion DV7-6C20US Laptop PC with AMD Quad-Core A8-3520M Accelerated Processor and Windows 7 Home Premium altogether. Thanks! 03/26/2012
new computer purchase I like this computer when I learn how to use it. I will sit down and get familiar with it this weekend. I like the added features and the picture quality is great. The reason that I picked HP is because my toshiba had too much internal security and I was not able to utilize the CDs that came with my college textbooks without having Best Buy install a patch. This time I purchased from Wal-Mart and I knew from using other types of computers that HP was the brand that I wanted this time. 05/09/2012
I love it!!! My mom got this for me for college from another company for less but I have had it for a few days now and it works amazingly!!!! My step-dad did have to help me with installing a few things on it but thats cause I didn't understand what to do. But except for that it is awesome! I highly reccomend it!! 03/28/2012
