Rated 5 out of 5 by Reefrnr Great Laptop Deal Laptop arrived in new condition. Very fast system with all the bells and whistles. Has the windows 7 OS which I wanted. Blue Ray DVD drive that burns all the types. I found the A8 4500 processor plenty fast. I am pleased with the graphics on the LED 17" screen. All in all it meets all my needs. Excellant value for the money. 03/28/2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by FuriousRed32 Great computer! I have been shopping for a laptop that can handle all the demands of school, business, and entertainment. I chose this computer to replace my desktop and laptop that I purchased in 2005. The quad core is very fast and doesn't run hot as long as you don't keep the computer on your lap for too long. Admittedly I was worried about the battery life of a refurbished laptop, so that was the first thing I did when I got the computer. I charged it up and then used it as I normally would. I was surprised to get about 4.0 hrs on such a large computer. Lastly, I went with windows 7 instead of windows 8 due to the familiar interface and the rumored "problems" with windows 8. To fully use windows 8..... You need a touchscreen laptop. Why not just get a tablet? Minimum price for a touchscreen laptop at best buy right now is $450, with less RAM and hard drive space. I hope I've helped with your decision. Also FYI I bought the 2yr protection plan from Walmart. I think it was worth the extra cost for 2yrs piece of mind.Have a good day! 03/28/2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by DoozieDad Great Experience I had earlier purchased a 17.3" Acer laptop which was a terrible product. The audio and video jacks did not work and the auxialary drive did not work. Walmart took it back and refunded my money.I ordered the HP on a Sunday and picked it up on Tuesday at the San Marcos store. I wanted a Windows 7 PC and this was it. Thus far this HP has been fantastic. Everything works and the "Beat" sound is great and the video resolution is truly HD.I would buy one of these again in a heartbeat. 03/26/2013
