Exactly what my novice wife needed It has very good functionality and performance. I don't use it that much. But, setting it up was pretty plug and play. I like the keyboard because the keys are pretty tough to rip off (small kids in the house). I like the firmness of the power supply plug compared to my own, older, laptop. I like the wireless connect button on the keyboard. It is a very efficient way to have that function. I love the mouse pad. That innovation really takes the cake. It is very responsive and you feel like it will never wear out. The only thing that I don't like, and your mileage may vary, is the screen being seen from various angles. When we are in bed together, it is hard for me to see what is on her screen, where as mine can be seen out to 175 degrees. I thought I was getting the brightscreen like I have. But, it wasn't. I guess that's good if you are on an airplane or traveling. But, we don't do very much of that. Other than that, it's a pretty good machine. 04/19/2012

Very Good Selection. This laptop has been the best I have had so far for it's price. My previous laptop was also HP but it was already about 4 years old. This is way better performance and better screen definition.Great Buy! 02/29/2012
